Aimee~Capricorn

They could've at least provided a map.

Back in the Triplicity Woods, Chase had opened and set a portal for Westbrook, Maine. Upon arrival, Chase, Agnes, and I crashed into the middle of a park. Or rather, Agnes and I crashed while Chase leisurely walked out of the portal. I groggily got up, my blonde hair now tangled with bits of sticks and leaves knotted in between strands. And although I didn't have a mirror or any reflective surface to gaze upon, I could tell there was definitely dust and grime on my face. Not exactly my finest moment.

Agnes didn't fair off any better, but she wore filth with dignity. She promptly stood up and dusted herself off.

Chase was the only one out of our trio that seemed okay. Perhaps because he has actually done portal jumps multiple times before and has actual experience. Somehow he didn't have a speck of dirt on his clothing and his unruly hair didn't have any unwanted alterations.

Now that we finally were in Westbrook, I recalled our mission. Find Spencer and bring him back to the Triplicity. Preferably in one piece. I thought it would be difficult. Prior to our entrance, I did some quick research about the city. It was about 17 miles squared with a fairly small population (less than 20,000). How hard can it be to find one 16 year old?

Apparently extremely easy.

"Alright, now that the road trip is over," Agnes huffed while crossing her arms,"how are we going to find Spencer?"

"Well, the communication devices we gave you have a locator downloaded," Chase responded, securing his tie around his neck before attaching a golden tie clip. Once the clip was secure the familiar holographic menu was brought up. Chase proceeded to tap the Gemini icon and 'map.'

"Why didn't he just tell us about this earlier?"Agnes whispered to me. I replied with a light laugh and a shrug.

"According to the locator," Chase started,"Spencer is right around-umph!"

Out of nowhere, Spencer came speeding down the hill, crashing into Chase for a hug.

"Oh praise the lord! I thought I would never see you guys again!"Spencer clung tightly to Chase as Agnes and I exchanged looks.

"Looks like he found us," Agnes remarked.

The Gemini wasn't looking too well. His normally windswept hair was unkempt. His face seemed paler and appearing leaner. His eyes now had a more wild and feral look to them, as if he went through hell and back. But either way, I had to point him out for his poor reasoning.

"You do know you have a communication device to contact us,"I called out,"your ring?"

Spencer unlocked the dark haired boy from his embrace. Chase staggered a bit, fazed,"well I would've used it had someone told me how to,"Spencer argued," instead of throwing me into situations I didn't want to be in."

"But you were the one who came to Maine in the first place," I countered. I've been told by Daniel before that I refuse to lose an arguement, no matter how petty the situation is. I've also been told that whenever I do lose an arguement, my face turns red and I walk off in a huff. Whatever. I knew that I was not going to forfeit this one,"seeing family is nice, but you knew the risks. Especially with your head injury."

At the mention of his family, Spencer became stolid and senseless. Maybe I'd stepped a bit too far. What if something terrible happened to his family? I couldn't bare the same pain if I lost my parents and my siblings.

"Still, even a brief visit is better than none at all,"Spencer's voice sounded pained now, as if he was hiding a secret. Yet his eyes narrowed and flashed at me in defiance.
