Diana~Aries

I gasped for air, looking up at the shadow in front of me. He even lumbered over Rufino, who was pretty tall himself.

"What do you want?" Rufino growled to the man. He stayed quiet.

I looked at Rufino, my eyes wide. My breaths began to shorten, and I seemed to be panting. "Rufino, what are you doing?" I gasped.

I could tell he rolled his eyes, even without turning to look at me. He set his jaw and stared at the shadowy figure. "What the hell do you want? We will have people on the way if you start anything with us."

I groaned and shook my head. Even I knew that was not the best way to confront someone like that. And I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

The figure still didn't reply. Quickly, he shot out his arm and shoved Rufino against the wall, pushing him aside. He made his way down the rest of the hall, simply leaving the building. We turned and watched him leave, just as quiet as he was with us.

When the door closed, I turned sharply to Rufino. "Are you stupid? Are you not mentally stable in the head? Why would you say that?" I cried.

Rufino cocked his head to the side like a dog. "What?" he asked.

"Telling him we have a backup. It wasn't that smart to do that."

"What do you mean? It was a warning to him. You're overreacting."

"I am not," I bellowed, standing up straighter. I puffed my chest out to make me seem bigger. "I'm telling you that what you did was wrong."

Rufino bit down on his lip, a smile broadening across his face. He was trying not to laugh. "Hey, Diana," he said softly. "I did whatever I could. It's over. Plus, the guy is gone."

"That doesn't mean that is a good sign!" I cried. I raised my arms to the side in frustration. "You might as well say, 'Oh, yeah, and if you want any secret about this place, follow me! My friend Chase upstairs will help you.'"

Rufino paused for a second, his frown dropping. He let out a sigh and placed his hands on my shoulders, bringing me closer.

"Diana," he said in a sing-song way. "I'm telling you right now I did nothing wrong. So look at me, take deep breaths, and calm down. Let's go back upstairs and report to Kaia. Alright?"

I growled under my breath. "Just go away, you dingus."

Rufino cracked a smile. "If you're French, why did you say 'dingus?'"

I snarled. "Go away, Rufino."

Rufino only stepped closer. He raised his arms to embrace me when I felt my stomach turn. I growled again and let out a scream. "Go away!" I screamed, shoving my hand out in front of me.

He gasped and stared at me for a brief moment. In an instant, he shot backwards, his feet not touching the ground, and he slammed against the wall behind him. My hand still outstretched, I felt my jaw drop, and I glanced at him. He struggled under the invisible force, trying to get off of the wall.

"What the hell," I said, dropping my arm. I stared at my hands, which were glowing with red energy. Rufino had fallen to the floor in a heap, panting. He looked up at me, his eyes in fright.

"Diana," he told me. "I think you have telekinesis."

"Chase," I cried into the bracelet. "I need your help. I think I just found my power."

Chase smiled. "Really? What is it?"

"Rufino thinks it's telekinesis. I'm not quite sure, but I pushed him against the wall without touching him."
