The cart came to a stop and Hagrid got out. He went up to a vault that the goblin opened in a different way than a key, but with his hand. His own hand.
As if reading Harry's thoughts, the goblin spoke as Hagrid grabbed the thing.
"It's a magic door. Anyone who tries to get in that isn't a goblin gets sucked in, and locked up inside the vault,"
"Well how often do you check it?" Harry asked, nearly worried.
"Oh, maybe, once or twice every fifty years," He chuckled.
Hagrid stepped out of the vault carrying a little object wrapped in cloth and tied with string.
"Better not talk to yer friends bout this. Official Hogwarts business," Hagrid tried his best to sound official. Emilia and Harry understood, shaking their heads to show it.
*******
After the trip in Gringots, Hagrid went to get their books and everything and Emilia and Harry went to get their school robes then wands.
When they finally found the robe shop, they stepped inside and an old looking woman ushered them to the back where she said she'd take their measurements.
Once they got there, Emilia and Harry stepped onto these stools to get measured by measuring tapes working all by themselves! It was amazing. Magic was going to be fun. They could already tell. Emilia was smiling and laughing at the sight of everything.
When Harry turned my head away from Emilia, he just noticed that there was a white haired boy standing next to them.
"Hello," he spoke up. "Are you going to Hogwarts too?"
"Yes," Harry answered in unison to Emilia's nod. She was in between the two boys.
"Cool. Can you believe that they won't let first years have their own broom sticks?" he asked, sounding completely outraged. Neither twin really knew how to respond, so Harry just said
"I know. It's totally bogus,"
The boy just gave a smirk and a nod.
"My name's Malfoy by the way. Draco Malfoy," he said with pride. What type of person says their last name before their first name? It's literally called, your first name.
"I'm Harry," Harry introduced. "And this is Emilia,"
"You two twins or something?"
"Exactly," He answered once again in sync with Emilia's nod.
"Cool. I don't know about you, but I hope I get into Slytherin. It's the best house,"
Again, they were completely clueless.
"I swear," Draco continued. "If I get put into Hufflepuff, I'm dropping out of Hogwarts,"
What the?
"What about you?" he asked.
"Excuse me?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow.
"What house do you want to get in?"
"Not sure yet," He answered quickly.
"Well what about you?" Draco nodded at Emilia. She stayed silent. "What? You mute or something?" She shook her head no. "Why won't you talk?"
"Alright dears," said the old looking woman. She was walking back out to us holding our robes. They thanked their lucky star she came when she did. "You can go now,"
Thank god!
They took their robes, paid, then left.
"What the hell is a Hufflepuff?" Emilia leaned in and whispered. All Harry did was shrug.
"So. Hagrid is getting our books so now we just need to get our wands, right?"
"Yup,"
Once they got to the wand shop, we read on the sign outside. 'Ollivandars Wand Shop'.
When they stepped inside, it seemed empty.
"Hello?" Harry called. "Hello?" He called a bit louder.
A man walked out from behind a large shelf. He looked very old and had crazy hair, with a slightly mad gleam in his eyes, but also a gleam of wisdom.
"Ahh. I've been wondering when I'd be seeing you, Mr. and Miss. Potter," he said in a raspy voice. He walked behind some shelves and started to look at boxes which were probably holding wands. "Seems only yesterday, your mother and father were in here buying their first wands. And you look so much like them, you know," Emilia smiled at the last comment.
"Here you go!" After a moment, the man came back with a bunch of boxes. They tried so many, and by so many, they tried so many. Emilia nearly blew up the shop, and Harry nearly set Mr. Ollivandar's hair on fire.
"We are so sorry Mr. Ollivandar," Harry apologized for Emilia and himself.
"It's alright, it's alright. Should've seen some of my other customers. Oh-ho-ho. Boy were they disastrous," Mr. Ollivandar assured as he went back to find some more wands.
"You have soot on your nose," Emilia laughed.
"Where?" Harry asked.
"On your nose. Right there," Emilia said pointing right between my eyes. Harry knew this trick, Emilia's done it before, and he wasn't about to rub his hand on that spot and then actually get soot on his nose. To outsmart her, Harry just looked at the spot.
"HAHAHAHAH!" Emilia broke into hysterical laughter. "You should've seen your face, all cross eyed,"
Harry couldn't help but laugh too. Emilia's laugh was very contagious.
Mr. Ollivandar had come back, with two wands, looking a bit uneasy.
Harry's wand, had apparently been connected to the man who killed them's wand. But Mr. Ollivandar wouldn't tell them his name. Emilia's though, was very interesting too.
"Alright. Beyond that... depressing, fact. Here you go Emilia," he said, handing Emilia the wand. "11 inches, Unicorn hair, willow, great for transfiguration. Interesting..." he said mysteriously. Emilia held the wand for less than a second, and it started to spark gold. Mr. Ollivandar smiled. "Curious... very..."
"Sir, why do you keep saying that? Is hers connected to he-who-must-not-be-named too?" Harry asked.
"No, not connected to him... however, it has had a various history. This was the first wand I'd ever made. I knew that only a special witch, and a very special one at that, would be able to be claimed by it. It has had a single owner before you, Miss. Potter, other than that, no one. Ages passed and people've tried it, but all results were fatal... up until now,"
Emilia just stood there, holding the wand proudly, as if she were never going to let it go.
"Miss. Emilia," Mr. Ollivandar started. He crouched down so he'd be eye level with her. "You must promise. Even though the unicorn hair core wands are hard to track off the path of good, you must promise; you will not fall into the dark. You, mixed with this wand, on the side of evil..." he shuttered. "I'd prefer not to imagine,"
