**Harry's POV**
We were siting at lunch, barley talking from the exceedingly tiring day. I was sitting to the left of Emi, Fred and George on the other side of her, and Ron across from me."Tough first day, love?" Fred ruffled Emilia's hair and she slightly smiled, still playing with her food. George was talking with his other friends about the amount of homework they got on their first day.
She nodded a yes, avoiding all eye contact. "Aw, it'll get better Emi! What'd you have first?" Emilia handed Fred her color coded schedule (Emi had a disorder so she needed to organize everything otherwise she wouldn't understand it). As Fred read it, he grimaced. "Potions first? Tough break, you got the hardest classes first today, but it's alright. After lunch, you got flying!" The corners of Emi's lips curled up and she shifter her eyes so she was looking at Fred through her tangled hair. "See, there's that little smile! You'll love flying, it's one of the best things at this school." He handed her schedule back with a smile. "I'm here for you if you need help with your day," he smiled and ruffled her hair again.
Just as Emi was putting her schedule back in her bag, Sky came down and dropped a letter at Emi and I's spot.
"Mail? From who?" I was skeptical, but I took the letter and looked at the messy writing on the front that read Harree and Emii. I recognized the writing from our birthday, and so did Emi.
Hagrid.
I opened the envelope and read the paper.
Hi Harree and Emii!
How 'es your first day? Did ya get good classes?
Why don't you come down to me hut later, an' we can all chat over tea :)~Hagrid
**Emilia's POV**
I smiled at the thought that Hagrid sent us a letter. It was nice that he sent something to us, even as little as an invitation to tea, just so we wouldn't be the only ones not getting mail from friends or family.I took the parchment and a quill and ink from my bag and neatly wrote
We'd be delighted, Hagrid. How does after classes sound?
~Harree and Emii (just to humor him)folded the parchment back up, and gave the letter back to Sky as she nibbled on part of my lunch.
Harry turned to me.
"So we have flying next?" I nodded, smiling wickedly. I was so excited to learn to fly. I collected the rest of my things and got up, motioning for Harry to follow.
"Where are we going?"
I pointed to where Sky took off and Harry got it. It basically translated to "I'm sure Hagrid wouldn't mind if we stopped by a bit earlier."
"Alright," Harry shrugged, collected his things, and we took off.
*******
We headed down to Hagrid's hut by the edge of the Forbidden Forest. We stepped up to the little stoop and Harry knocked on the door.
"Oi! Hello, Harry, Emi. I just got Sky, but I'm deligh'ed to see you here! I jus' got the tea off t'e fire," Hagrid practically beamed. It was so nice to see his face. "Come in, come in," he urged as he stepped aside, letting us in. We sat down and I caught sight of the most precious dog. He was big and had dark fur and a wrinkled face with drool practically dripping down it by the pint.
Harry seemed to try and get as far away from the creature as possible, but I put my bag down and knelt to pet him.
"Hi buddy," I whispered.
"Oi! I see you're talkin' a bit more, Emi. I'm proud o' ya." Hagrid smiled as he poured Harry and I some tea. I looked at him and smiled nodding/ my way of saying thank you. "And I see you've met Fang."
"Hi Fang," I whispered again. Fang put his big paws on my lap and I hugged him. I've always had a weird liking towards animals. They've always been easier for me to connect to than humans.
"Mind if I borrow this?" Harry asked, holding up a copy of the Daily Prophet, which was like the wizarding newspaper.
"Yea, yea, no problem. You two want some scones?"
"Sure," Harry said, reading the paper and sipping the quite hot tea trying to be polite by transparently trying to not spit it out. I snorted it was so funny.
"So. How waz ya first day?" Hagrid sat down near Harry at the table that was practically made for the small hut, seeing it perfectly matched the way the wall curved outward.
"Not great," I whispered, standing up and sitting next to Harry. "I'm almost sure the potions teacher hates us."
"Not us, me. He hates me." Harry corrected, putting down the newspaper. I caught sight of a picture on the front page, and it was moving! Amazing! I picked up the paper and started reading.
"Who? Professer' Snape? Nah, he may be a bit, rough around the edges, but e's got no reason te 'ate ya."
"Well I'm almost positive he does. I can read signs," Harry said, knowingly.
"Harry Potter, you couldn't pick up a sign if it hit you in the face at full speed yelling at the top of its lungs," I retorted plopping the paper in front of him. "Someone broke into Gringots and you didn't so much as blink," I smirked. He whole-heartedly rolled his eyes and picked up the paper again.
"Huh. Recent reports say Gringots Wizarding Bank had been broken into earlier today. The vault in question, 713, had been searched many times, but it has been said nothing was taken. Hagrid, isn't that the vault we went to?" Hagrid immediately clammed up and became stutteringly nervous.
"Well, uh, it's getting' late, maybe you two should be headed to yer next class. Off you go now," he urged, nearly pushing us out the door.
Harry and I just stood there for a moment, still shocked at what happened.
"Do-?"
"Not a clue."
