Chapter Eight:

"Girl you didn't come here to play now did you!?" Marlin said approaching me as I put the final touches on my make-up.

"You know I didn't!" I said twerking a little giggling.

"That nigga mouth gone water so much Ima have to put a bucket under his shit. I bet he feel so stupid" Marlin said shaking his head. "Yeah, I'm sure. What makes it even worse is that his Mom knows about us not talking for these past couple weeks and STILL insists that we all have a big family dinner after LeLe's graduation" I said rolling my eyes.

"Because you know Heather was never here for the drama hunny!" Marlin said snapping his fingers. I started laughing hard and I heard hard knocks at the hotel room door. We both stopped laughing and I sighed threw my robe on and slowly walked to the door. I already knew it was Odell's ass. I opened the door and his face was pure anger.

"You didn't think to let me know that you and Olivia got here safely? Where the fuck is my daughter?" He asked in a nasty tone looking around for Olivia.

"First of all Odell, watch your fucking mouth. Don't talk to me like you done lost all of your fucking mind" I spat at him.

"Chill the fuck out forreal. Like I said where is my daughter Jazmine?" He asked again clenching his jaw.

I sighed and looked at him. "With her grandmother. August's driver dropped her off to her home about two hours ago.

He laughed a little, walked away then got in my face. "Why is that nigga around my daughter? Huh? Why is that nigga in Louisiana!?!?!" Odell roared.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU YELLING AT!?" I screamed at him. "Your ass now answer me Jazmine!" He yelled. "I don't have to answer to you! Heather knew August's driver was driving us. She had no problem so get the fuck out my face! NOW!" I yelled backing away from him.

"You know what? I'm done dog. I've really tried to get over this whole August and trusting you thing. But you continually do shit that's making me question whether you're fucking this man or not" He confessed. My eyes widened and before I knew it I slapped the dog shit out of him. How dare he say some shit like that.

"You don't lost your fucking mind." "Oh trust me Odell if I was fucking August you would know. Get the fuck out my face dog." I said slamming the door in his face.

"Open this door Jazmine, we not done talking bro" He banged on the door. "Fuck on Odell" I yelled walking away. "Well that didn't go well" Marlin said sighing. My heart was racing so fast. I cannot believe those words just uttered out his fucking mouth! Like I've literally been with Odell and only Odell since I was 18. Why is he being so fucking insecure!

- Family dinner

"I wanna give a toast to my baby sister, so y'all lift y'all glasses up." Odell spoke suddenly. I rolled my eyes and picked my glass up. "Look Daddy! Me too! Look at my cup!" Livi said holding her can of pop up high. He chuckled some and briefly made eye contact with me before talking.

"Leigh, you are my baby sister. Ever since you were little I always told Mom how I would protect you and watch over you as long as I was alive. True enough at first I was pissed that you were dating Jarv, but I've never seen you this happy, so I'm happy! But Jarv you break her heart, you won't be returning to those dolphins" He said looking over at Jarv & Leigh. Jarv laughed and nodded his head.

"You've been an amazing friend to Jazmine, and most of all you've been nothing but the best Aunt to my daughter. And of all things I want you to know that there isn't a day that will go by that I won't be there for you. You got me for life, remember that. Sooo.... Here. Congratulations baby girl" He said pulling some keys out his pocket.

Everyone watched them hug for a while and Leigh burst into tears. I smiled and stood up walking out to the balcony to get some fresh air. Today's been a bit much and I go on tour in a couple days. My Homefront is on the rocks and I really need to make things right before I go.

I went inside to go grab Livi to talk to her, but she was talking to Odell's grandmother so I just went back outside.

Odell was standing there, almost like he was waiting on me to come back outside. I side eyed him and tried to walk back into the house, but he grabbed my arm softly.

"Come on man. Talk to me" He said in a low tone. I couldn't hold the tears in anymore.

He turned me around and once he saw my face and the tears flowing, his entire mood changed. He took my hand and we talked to the bench by his mom's rose garden.

"I was wrong." He said sighing wiping my tears. "I have never cheated on you Odell. Never not once. I will admit that I may have been overly nice and it might have come off as flirting but it wasn't going anywhere with August. I shut the shit down." I said sniffling.

"I love you so much and you know that. I wanted to work on a relationship because I don't want to be with anyone else, so why be single when we can work on us? But then you started this doubting me. But now, I don't think this is a good idea anymore." I said lowly.

"Kind of got the hint when you threw the ring at me." He said lowly. "But, I'm not giving up on us Jazmine, its obviously that I gotta make things right with you." He explained.

I sighed and looked up. "We need a break from each other, and this tour will do that" I said biting my lip anxious for his response. He was quiet for a second before speaking.

"Okay" He mumbled.

"That way we can do our own thing. Olivia has noticed our distance from each other and it's not good for her for us to be one day cool and the next day arguing." I explained.

"You got it Jazmine." He said simply getting up and walking away.

It's almost like he didn't want to have the conversation anymore. Like nigga you have done nothing but doubt me for a month and a half straight! You gave me a ring to try to put a lock down on me! That's some selfish ass shit and I'm not with it.

Okay....So... there's that. lmfao. I want you guys to see how things with Odell shatter for the time being, and how things with August attempt to heat up. Another thing Odell will not be as innocent as he is coming off to be. But you all will see that soon enough.

Also. Livi is six years old and spends a lot of time with Jazmine's mother, Jazmine jobs keeps her busy and well Odell is in New York. So don't think they just be neglecting their kid. LBVS.
