Chapter 8-Just Playing?
I wasn't sure if Jerome was going to talk to Mitch once he came out of his room but by the time I got out everyone had left. Mat had tried to talk to Jerome but he just said that he didn't want to be disturbed but he and Mitch could still stay. A lot had happened today and I was really tired so I decided to go to bed. Jerome had already helped me put all my luggage away in the drawers so it was pretty easy to find my pyjamas. I know that I said to Jerome that me and Mitch were just playing about but I sort or wished that we weren't so I put on a pair of pink shorts and a lime green tank top with a big white P on it.
I could still hear Mitch and Mat awake in the living room so I took a deep breath and walked out of my room. They both looked up at me, and I smiled as I walked into the kitchen. Next minuet Mitch walked in.
"What are you doing up? I thought Jerome had you on lockdown" he laughed.
"Haha..." I laughed sarcastically "No, actually. He doesn't control me I'm not 5" I said pulling my hair and putting it up into a ponytail.
"Hmm sure. But anyway you didn't answer my question. What you doin' up?' he stepped fully into the kitchen letting the door close.
"Sorry, I didn't realise that I had to update you on everything I do... I'm getting a drink" I said finally. Mitch just looked at me with his eyebrow raised and laughed.
"Mat was wrong. You're not shy at all" he took a few steps towards me and I took a few back.
"What are you doing?" I said pushing him away "Jerome will go crazy if he sees us together after before"
"I thought you talked to him?" he said grabbing my hands
"I did and he says that he can't control who I go out with. I told him that we were just playing around so I think he's ok now but still I don't think he likes the fact that you're meant to be his best friend" I pulled away
"You said we were just playing around?" he took a step back
"Well yeh why what did you think we were doing?" I felt hopeful
"No, no I thought we were just messing around I was just checking that, that was what you said. Anyway, you've got your drink now so... night" and with that he left the kitchen.
