Chapter 31-Amber

~{Paisley's POV}~

I paced backwards and forwards biting my nails. Mitch's old girlfriend would be over in an hour and I needed to prepare. Mitch had gone to the store to get ingredients for dinner and I was freaking out. What if this girl was prettier than me?! What if seeing her makes him realise that he misses her and that he rather be with a Canadian girl than be with a British one who lives hours away in New Jersey?

I was panicking so much and running through scenarios in my head when I heard the door open. Mitch stepped in carrying a bag of groceries. I helped him put them away then when we were just finishing up there was a knock at the door. Mitch ran to get it, he was a little too eager for my liking...

"Mitch!" she threw her arms around his neck and he slowly prised her off. Hehe.

"Hey, Amber nice to see you. Its been a while" he awkwardly laughed

"I know its been so- oh hello?" she looked over at me

"Oh yeh sorry, Amber this is my girlfriend Paisley. Paisley this is Amber"

"Hi..." I fake smiled and she did the same

"Mitch you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend" she fake laughed

"Well you didn't really give me a chance so..." he said awkwardly. There was a silence for the next 6 minutes or so before Mitch finally broke it "So... what brings you down, Amber?"

"Well I had spent about 6 months in Australia and I just got back the other day so I thought I'd drop by"

"Hey, Pais didn't you live in Australia at one point?" Mitch asked

I slowly nodded and sighed. Its true, when I was around 9 me and my mum moved to Australia and we were there for 6 years which made me an Australian citizen because you need to be there for 5 years to become one.

(Little Fact- I'm part: Scottish, Irish, British and Australian irl. But mostly British >.<)

"Thats nice" she snorted. I rolled my eyes and sighed

"You'll be staying in the second guest room, Amber. So you can take your case up if you want"

"Why? am I not good enough for the first one" she giggled but I knew she was serious

"No, it's not that. Its just my friend Jerome is staying in that one" he sighed

"Ah, I see" she sneered.

I hated her already. But to be fair I hated her before she got here. She was a typical mean girl. Blonde hair, blue eyes, snotty as f*ck and full of herself. A lot of people expect me to be like that, which is dumb seeing as the only reason they think that is because of my blonde hair. But apart from that I have teal rimmed, green eyes and I tend not to be snotty unless the person asks for it. In this case Amber...

"I'll go put my stuff upstairs then" as she went up the stairs she brushed past Mitch causing his breath to hitch. This made me so mad.

She disappeared into the bedroom and closed the door.

"WHAT THE HELL, MITCH" I shouted but not loud enough so she could hear me

"What?"

"Don't play dumb she touched you and you-"

"Flinched, yeh. So what?"

"You didn't flinch like you wanted to get away from her you flinched like you liked being touched by her!"

"Wh- I d-" he stuttered "Wait... Are you jealous?" he waggled his eyebrows at me

"Oh get over yourself" I stormed downstairs and he followed me

"Ok, I'll admit I didn't dislike being touched by her but it's just because she was one of my first serious girlfriends and it brought back memories..."

I thought to myself before finally saying "Well... if you are going to be acting like that in front of me how do I know you won't be doing worse when I go back to New Jersey?"

"Because I love you and you should trust me" he said touching my waist

"How am I supposed to trust you when you're acting like that?"

"Well...I"

"Wrong answer" I turned to walk away but he grabbed my wrist

"Babe, you know I rather have you than her any day" he smirked.

"No, I don't. Get off me" I tugged my wrist back and sat down at the desk with my back to him. I heard him sigh behind me which made my nerves tick. Why does he always have to act like such a god damn little kid.
