Today was it.
The Big Day.
Percy paced across the room with his hair in his hands.
"Gods of Olympus, can you stop pacing? It's distracting." Nico snapped, looking up from the screen he was typing in.
"Are you for real, Nico? Stop aggravating, the kid's having a tough day, lay off." Jason smoothed over. Nico snorted, "Tough day? How romantic." He stated blandly. Jason smirked, "Too busy writing an email to Will to notice?" Nico flushed at that, "I will not answer that."
Jason tried to hide his smile, emphasis on tried. He appreciated Nico's sass but today was not the day to get on the Sea Prince's nerves.
Of course, someone had to make the situation worse.
"Relax, mi amigo. It's your wedding day. Try not to think about how it's the last minute of bachelor freedom you will ever get in your life."
Percy turned to Leo with his face even paler than before, and that was saying something.
Jason sighed at his Latino friend, "Way to go, Repair Boy. You lowered the temperature of the cold-feet even further. I have no idea why I was going to ask you to be my best man." Leo faked wiping a tear from his eye, "How sweet. Maybe, I'll ask Nico to be my best man." Jason turned to him in shock, "I practically asked you to be my best man, and you won't ask me back." "Ouch." Nico winced.
"Can you guys shut up? I'm freaking out here!" Percy screeched from the middle of the room,
As if on cue, Percy's best-man, Grover, popped his head out from the side of the door, "Perce, how's the-" He cut off when he saw the situation the groom was in, "Woah, Perce. Breathe. Remember Annabeth? The love of your life? Who did you fall into Tartarus for? You're going to marry her, and it will be perfect. I need to tend to the guests now." And with that, he closed the door and stopped Percy from hyperventilating.
Silence.
"Maybe I should ask Grover to be my best man." Leo commented, breaking the tension.
______________________________
The ceremony had started.
Percy was in the front, looking dashing in his white suit.
Jason looked away, only to make eye-contact with his girlfriend, and smile.
She looks beautiful, Jason thought.
Everyone gathered from camp gasped, as Annabeth entered the room to start walking on the aisle; she looked beautiful as well.
Jason saw that the look of pure elation on the groom's face was evident as Annabeth made eye-contact with him. He could practically see him swoon.
After a tearful ceremony of vows (which even made Clarisse cry), Percy and Annabeth were announced husband and wife (which made Clarisse cry even harder).
Soon enough, Piper joined Jason on the table to give him a peck on the lips, "Well, that was amazing, don't you think?" "Not as amazing as you." Piper laughed at his reply, "Stop being so gracefully cheesy, Grace." Jason groaned, "Gods, no. Why doesn't anyone make fun of anyone else's name? Like, someone can tell Annabeth to 'chase it', or you to 'McLean your room', or even tell our praetor to be 'Frank'," She laughed again, "It's just more fun with you. I love seeing you flustered." He smiled, "You are certainly great at it."
"Okay, Single Ladies! It's time to catch the bouquet!"
Annabeth lined women up, even Sally.
Piper continued to sit at the table, "Why don't you join them?" "Nah, I prefer it here."
Annabeth turned around and made everyone count to three, "One, two... three!"
A fascinating thing happened.
The direction of the bouquet changed course magically, the wind literally changed the course to a curve, where it delightfully landed on the lap of a young woman.
"What?"
Jason took a deep breath.
He sat down on one knee as the woman he loved held the bouquet looking at him peculiarly.
"Jason..." Said-person shushed her as he started to ramble.
"Piper McLean, the first time I saw you, I thought you had the most beautiful eyes. Of course, at that time, a crazy goddess took away my memory and a crazy pyromaniac told me you were my girlfriend, I still thought we were meant to be,"
The audience laughed and he continued.
"That being said, would you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me?"
Piper smiled at him with tears in her eyes, "Yes."
Everyone around them cheered as Percy smiled and leaned down to Annabeth, "Look at Jason, always stealing my thunder."
"Seriously Seaweed Brain, thunder?"
Hey guys! Hope you liked my little one-shot! I just had this crazy idea that during my aunt's wedding, like if Jason was here, he could manipulate the wind to change the course of the bouquet!
