Close To The Conclusion Book 1

You met her somewhere in the beginning of the book. But now where close to the beginning of the story. She is a mind reader with a lab coat and matching twin pistols. We didn't meet her until really later. Like two years later. I was 16 when I found the last person, 15 when I ran away and found Dustin, and 5 when the depressing back story. This is your timeline. This is how everything went for a little while. The fight scene I am 20. I only had a small time with Alex. I wish I got to know her better.

I  was looking at her through the glass while my scientist were examining her. She looked so pissed off at the scientist, occasionally she would say something to them and they would all scowl. She was probably diving into their minds and hearing the insults about her trying to steal their hard worked data that turned out to be wrong. 

She sawing me staring and entered my mind. I could do way better than these assholes. I giggled out loud and just looked at her. A beautiful specimen indeed. I am not beautiful. You heard the man I belong dead. Kenji doesn't think that. Kenji used to be in love with you. I shied away. I knew this to be true. He has never made that unclear to me in the time we spent together. But, by the looks of it, they had a fae bond, and it was strong.

They had finally released her and she came straight for me. "You can get rid of those flying bimbos. They know absolutely nothing." I knew she was right. I hadn't seen a correct statement from them-, "Ever." 

"You read minds way to precise to be your age."

"Scientifically made. Not magically like Jarrece up there." He too was a rare specimen. "Why doesn't he show Kenzie how he really feels?" She seemed puzzled. I knew she couldn't find that information in his brain. To be honest I didn't even know. I've never even seen him train to know how well his progress is going these past two years. "Two years? He has only been here two years?"

"Dustin has been here for 3." She looked dumbfounded, and she read my mind and cleared her face then smirked.

"This place hasn't been here long has it?"

"No."

"But, you guys are so organized."

"We feared we would be fighting soon."

"Fighting who?"

"The King."

There are two more chapter to this book than Alex and Kenji will start their tale through each other's eyes. Why is this going to happen? I don't know. But you will, in the next few chapters.
