^^^ Haven's P.O.V. ^^^

Now a sneak peek into my past. What will look like a beautiful childhood romance is not what it is, I didn't know what was happening at the time. I wish I could go back and end it all but it wouldn't be worth it because then I would have never met these amazing people. 

 "Haven!" Wait three seconds. "HAVEN!" I popped put behind him and he jumped. 

"Five points Haven, zero points Adrian." I placed my hands on my hips and stuck my tongue out. "I told you I was the best." He tackled me on the ground and started to tickle me.

"You are a cheater. You dimension jumped all over the house." I tried to grab his arms.

"You are just jealous!" I screamed and laughed as saying this. I wiggled and squirmed under his body. Trying to get his fat body of off mine. "You are a fat pig!" 

"No, I am just older and stronger."

"By two years." I exasperatedly said while he rolled off of me to my side. He grabbed my hand and held onto it. He knew I was drained and tried to push his energy into me. "You know I don't like that." 

"You are a child you should conserve your energy." I looked up to see father smiling. "Come now. We have important things to do. Father is a powerful man, not to mention very tall. Taller than most male servants. He wasn't really strong built but definitely not skinny. He was a king. He lead us to the science labs for more testing and collaboration techniques. But this time, he had a new female in the lab and she walked towards with a sense of eagerness. 

"Sir, they are compatible. They will successfully live through the trials." I didn't understand what meant but I just smiled kindly. Father kneeled in front of Adrian.

"Do you swear to protect Haven at all costs?"

"Why?"

"Do you?"

"Well, of course, she is my favorite person in the whole wide world." Father seemed pleased.

"Do you swear to protect Adr-"

"I don't need to be protected!"

"Hush child." The new lady snapped. Not long after she went flying across the room with father hot on her tail.

"You will never scold my child ever!" I have seen father mad, but never this mad. He walked back over to me and knelt once more. Silencing Adrian. "Do you swear to protect Adrian at all costs."

"Of course." He stood and fixed his tunic. "But why do we need to say this? Are you going to die?" Father's eyes widened and he shook his head. 

"No, I'm not going to die. But you two are going to be put under some extreme conditions." I looked at father. Wishing I knew his name.

"If we don't overcome and we become bad, can I know your name?" He seemed shocked.

"You will not turn bad." He had a push behind his words that I didn't understand. Adrian and I were lifted on to tables side by side. 

"This will only hurt a little." The lady nurse had said to me while holding a syringe.

"Do not lie to her. She is stronger than your petty lies." Adrian scolded. The nurse stepped back a few steps like anticipating a blow. But none came she came back to me and injected something into my neck. It did not hurt just a little. I screamed.

Then I heard Adrian scream. I looked at him and saw colors and words coming from everywhere. One moment he was there the next he wasn't. Like he was jumping like I can. I could feel the pull of the earth all around me. The texture of the air. I was one with it all. I felt like a could move mountains without lifting a finger. I was gaining his elemental powers. His in-depth mind. His telekinesis. He was jumping, he was gaining my powers. 

I could see a string binding us together. 

I had passed out on the table and awoke still on that table. I rolled over to see Adrian bloody. I rolled off my table and pulled myself on his. I was on top of him. He was shaking so violently. My power was hard to control. It was killing him. His mind was into many places. I rested my head on his chest and tried to calm his heart. Use his powers to draw me back like he once did for me.

I fought for what seemed like days but was minutes until I found his mind scattered. Breaking into bits. I pulled them all back to the center and willed him to listen to me. "Adrian, you mustn't let it control you. Use your telekinesis. Bring yourself back to the world where your body rests."

I felt his conscience slowly coming back. 

Adrian didn't wake up for about a week. But each day I would lay with him and push my mind into his and help him. The king pulled our powers together and we trained like that. I taught him and he taught me. Then we learned new things about each other's powers. He is my other half. We survived what Jarrece's sister didn't. But we did it without magic.
