Chapter 7 the big morning

KIRA'S POV

I woke up on a bed that did not look like mine. I started to panic until I remembered what happened last night. I fell asleep in Kid's arms it felt natural but I wonder where he is now. I look around the room and see that everything is symmetrical, but it is kinda cool. I see a note the bed side table and turn and pick it up and read over it.

KIRA, I AM DOWNSTAIRS MAKING SOME BREAKFAST FOR EVERYONE THERE ARE SOME CLOTHES ON THE TABLE FROM LIZ THAT YOU CAN WEAR FOR TODAY. THE DOOR TO YOUR LEFT IS A BATHROOM, FEEL FREE TO TAKE A SHOWER I WILL BE WAITING FOR GOU DOWNSTAIRS. WE HAVE EARLY CLASSES TODAY SO WE WILL HAVE TO LEAVE AT 8. PLEASE KNOW THAT I WILL NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT LAST NIGHT IT IS JUST BETWEEN ME AND YOU. YOURS DEATH THE KID.

That was so sweet of him to leave a note for me. I wonder if Jack is up yet. Oh well I will have a shower do my hair and go downstairs. Thanks Kid I think to myself he is so considerate and seems to have a symmetry problem but it is kinda cute and plus I like things to be neat and tidy anyway. So I had my shower and got dressed in to jeans and because the shirt didn't really suit me I just wore my black singlet from yesterday, and decided to go downstairs to see and thank Kid.

As I was walking downstairs I saw that everyone's rooms doors were opened so I guess that everyone is awake. I smell the wonderful smell of pancakes and thought that Kid must be cooking. Then I hear the front door open and shut. That is weird I think to myself I thought we were all leaving at the same time. I made my way downstairs and followed the smell to the kitchen and found Kid still standing there making the rest of the pancakes.

I quickly walk in trying to surprise him with a morning hug but he turned around before I got the chance too. "Um hey morning Kid, smells good". I said as I went to sit down at the table.

"Morning to you too Kira the others have decided to go to school early so we can have breakfast then go. Bit of a warning Black*star will probably still want to fight so be prepared. Here we go enjoy". Kid said and sat next to me at the table. I noticed that the table was completely symmetrical and I smiled but had to ask.

"Hey Kid why is everything so symmetrical". By the look on his face I really should not of asked.

"I kind of have this thing where everything has to be symmetrical. I AM SO SORRY THAT YOU DO NOT LIKE IT". Kid said then got up from the table went to the corner of the room crawled into a ball and started mumbling things like piece of asymmetrical trash and that he should die. I thought that the symmetry was really nice so maybe if I helped him. So I walk over to him and kneel down to place a hand on his shoulder.

"Kid I love the symmetry it is amazing and you are not asymmetrical trash, you are a grim reaper and an amazing person, I am glad I am living in a house that is so tidy. My house back at our old home was so dirty and out of order that I had to clean it up everyday it was so annoying".

Kid looked up at me and smiled a genuine smile and I helped him get up, he gave me a big hug. "Thanks Kira I needed that and I am glad that you like the house". We both went back to the table and finished our breakfast. By the time we had finished I knew that his favourite number was 8 which was why he always left at 8 to go to places like the academy. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 5 minutes to 8. "Kid maybe we should get going". He looks up at the time and nods his head. We might not make it in time our class starts at 8.20 so we had to let it.

We both stepped outside and I see the sun laughing at me. I turn to Kid and am concerned that we will be late. He sees my expression and laughs. "What is so funny, we are going to be late I do not think that that is funny Kid". I said in a serious tone.

Kid put out his hand and concentrated for a minute and brought out a skateboard. "This is Beelzebub hop on and we will not be late". Kid said as he extended his hand to me. I took his hand and hopped on behind him.

"Hold on tight now don't want you falling off". He said with a hint of laughter in his voice. I gave a small smile and put my arms around his waist and held on tight, my head was in the crook of his neck. He was not complaining and I found it comfortable. When I was more confident that I was not gonna fall off then I moved my head to look at the scenery.

"Kid this is amazing I love it. Can we do this every morning to the academy please?". I couldn't help it this was just so awesome I did not want it to end.

"Well maybe we will. I am glad you like it Kira. Most people are scared and don't like it". Kid said then the academy came into our sites and within minutes we were down on the ground again. Kid put his skateboard away and I saw the that others were waiting for us. I waved and grabbed Kid's hand and pulled him a long with me.

"Hi good morning guys. Hey where is Black*star". I asked but as I asked Kid was looking up at one of the spikes on the academy.

"Remember when I said about Black*star wanting that fight, I think that it is about to happen". Kid said while looking at a smudge of blue. It was Black*star alright. I looked at Jack and found him looking up there too.

"Oh SO NOT COOL. Black*star if you are gonna challenge them then come down here and do it". Soul said in a bored voice. Maka hit him over the head with that book of hers. At the exact moment Black*star came down and walked over to Jack and me.

"I the great and almighty Black*star challenge you Jack and Kira to a fight right here and now". Black*star pointed in our direction and laughed. Kid was off to the side with his weapons looking on. I looked over in his direction and he smiled and mouthed I told you so. I walked over to Jack and looked up at him.

"Well what do you think Jack maybe we should fight him just to get him off our backs". I said and Jack looked at me and nodded I transformed in to my scythe mode it was basically a black bladed scythe with a white line straight going through the middle of the blade. Kid would like it it was symmetrical.

"Alright Black*star lets settle this. Maka go and get a teacher will you, because Black*star is gonna need to go to the hospital when I am done". Jack said in a serious tone. I looked at him from out of my blade.

"Uh Jack don't hurt him to much he is one of our friends after all". I said to Jack if we really wanted to go all out Black*star would be dead.

"Oh I want everything you can give me no holding back because I know I won't be". Black*star all but yelled at the top of his lungs. I wonder how Tsubaki puts up with him.

"I got Professor Stein so you guys can start now Kid and everyone might be a good idea to move out of the way". Maka yelled out. I looked at Jack and Kid walked over.

"Jack and Kira be careful he might seem like a brat but he is a pretty good fighter, I fought him on my first day here and it was a good fight. He careful of his soul wave length". Kid said as he walked over to where Stein and the others were. He had fought Black*star before. I looked at Jack he looked at me briefly before looking back at Black*star.

"Hey Kid thanks for the warning". Jack said. I looked at him weirdly why say that.

"Jack focus we need to focus on this fight. Let's take it easy first and see how it goes". I said and Jack just nods. Ok we are ready to fight and this is gonna be an interesting one.
