Chapter 8 the BIG fight

JACK'S POV

I knew that Kira was right but I still always get in to a serious mode when I am about to fight. I waited for Black*star to make the first move. He was just standing there. I needed to know what type of attacker he was. I looked at him more closely than I did before. Obviously he is a hand to hand combat person like to get in close to his opponent and use Tsubaki in a sword mode. Ok I think I have him figured out now just to wait for his move. He probably has a short temper so maybe I can rile him up a bit.

"Hey Black*star you gonna do something or are you just gonna stand there like an idiot". I yelled at the top of my voice over to the blue haired ninja. I got stares from everyone in our group I even got a stare from Kira. As her reflection came up on her blade she glared at me.

"Jack are you trying to get us killed. It is not a good idea to provoke him, he is cocky and we do not need him trying to kill us". As she said that Black*star took that time to start running towards us.

"Kira I need you to focus now, we need to kick some sense in to this guy". I said Kira looks at me and nods and we look back to Black*star to see him becoming faster and faster.

I shift my stance to a more comfortable fighting stance and as Black*star tries to hit me with his sword I swing Kira out and stop the blade. I bring my leg out and try to kick his legs out from under him but he jumps back and lands a foot away from me. I need to bring him in to a corner somewhere to be able to punch him so hard he will not be able to get up. I looked at Kira to try and see her reflection but she did not come out.

"Kira are you there". I said softly.

"No Jack I am not doing it it could kill him Jack I do not want to move away from here just because you have killed another person". Kira whispers back.

"I am not actually going to hit him with it I just want to get him in a corner and the only way to do that is by using that technique so are u going to let me do it or not". I asked in a soft but polite way.

"No Jack I am not you are gonna have to do it without that". Kira says in a serious tone.

I scowl at her and look back at Black*star he seems to be talking to Tsubaki so I can take this moment to attack him. I slowly made my way around the back of them and slowly crept up behind him. He was still talking away with Tsubaki so I went right up behind him and punched him in the face. It sent him flying all the way to the other side.

Black*star got up and glared at me. "Alright we are getting serious now aren't we YAHOO let's do this Tsubaki". Black*star ran at me again and this time I was prepared for them.

MAKA'S POV

As I was watching the fight I had noticed that Jack was staying calm and collected and Black*star was getting more agitated by the second. That was not a good sign.

I was standing next to Kid and Soul and Soul was looking at the battle closely like he was hoping that Kira would win. Kid looked like he was on the edge of his patience. If I didn't know better I would think that Kid liked her. I would ask him but I am too close to Soul and I do not want to get them angry at the moment.

"Meister Maka can I ask u to take a look at Kira and Jack's souls and tell us what you see. Kid before Maka does that can you tell us what you feel from Jack's soul". Stein asked and looked at us both nodded and I closed my eyes and took a close look at their souls, while Kid explained Jack's soul to us.

"It feels a little like death. Like he is not afraid to kill someone if need be but at the same time I feel, longing for the protection of his weapon. It is hard to explain but it seems like he has killed before but willingly but someone stopped him. I get it now, Kira stopped him he cares for Kira". Kid said with a curious look on his face.
