Three Months Later

The tour has finally ended, and they all resided back in Nashville, Tennessee.

Alexis goes to school like a normal teen, Moriah and Joel live as a normal family. In a two story house with two hundred acres of land.

They are all in the living room, watching "Heaven Is For Real."
Alexis sits between her parents, Moriah on her right, Joel on her left.

Alexis leaned on Joel's shoulder and fell asleep.
Joel smiled at her and put his arm around her. Moriah looked at Joel.
They were together, and nothing could separate them.

Joel and Moriah slowly closed their eyes and they all fell asleep on the couch.

Joel woke up to the sound of screaming and crying. Moriah opened her eyes quickly. They turned to look where the screams came from.

They looked at Alexis.

She was bawling and clutching her stomach. Her tears rapidly fell down her face.
She was vomiting over and over again, nonstop.
Her chest was in pain, and she cried out.
"It hurts!"

Joel quickly picked Alexis up, not caring about the vomit stains she left.
Moriah ran towards the front door with car keys dangling in her hand.

They all jumped into the car and drove as fast as they could to the nearest hospital.
That was thirty minutes away.

Moriah bursted into the emergency room doors, holding the door for Joel, who had a sick and crying Alexis.

Moriah screamed and pleaded.
"Please, help!"
A nurse quickly got up and ran to Moriah.
"What's wrong?"
Moriah gasped for air.
"My daughter, Alexis. She was fine, then all of a sudden she is screaming and vomiting and she keeps telling the words 'It Hurts.'"
The nurses eyes grew bigger.
"Does she have..."

The nurse didn't have to finish, because Moriah knew what the nurse meant.
Moriah nodded, her voice cracking.
"Yes."

The nurse immediately ran behind her desk, grabbed a red telephone and dialled as fast she could.
"Emergency department, we have a teen girl, with her life threatened. We need aid, now."

The nurse hung up and as soon as she reached the bawling Alexis, doctors ran in with emergency kits.

They took Alexis from Joel's arms and gently, but quickly, placed her in a bed, and took her to the nearest empty room.

Extra nurses pushed Joel and Moriah out the room.
"Sorry, but this is a restricted area. You cannot come here."
Those were the words Moriah and Joel heard. The nurses haven't told them anything.
They have been waiting in the waiting room for almost two hours.

Moriah was sitting down, rocking back and forth and mumbling words with her hair in her face.
Joel was walking back and forth, his hands trembling as he thought of all the things that could happen.

Luke and Courtney ran in the waiting room, both panting from the running.
Luke ran up to Joel and shook him.
"Where is Alexis?!"

Joel responded, getting a bit dizzy. He responded, he spoke rapidly.
"I don't know. The doctors just took her and they just shoved Moriah and I out, not telling us anything, and now, Moriah and I are worried to death, and it's all because of this-"

Luke stopped shaking him and spoke loud and clear.
"Are you telling her now?"

Joel stopped, and looked Luke in the eye. Luke stood there, waiting for a response. Joel sighed and looked down, rubbing his neck.

"I have to. There's no choice now."
Luke parted his back, softly.
"I would tell you everything is going to be okay, but..."
Luke's voice drifted off. Joel knew what Luke was going to say.

Courtney sat by Moriah, embracing her as Moriah cried softly into her shoulder.
Courtney whispered a prayer, and Moriah sobbed.

Joel rehearsed what he was going to tell Alexis, with Luke helping him by correcting him and adding comments.
Joel took deep breaths.

A nurse walked in and softly spoke.
"Smallbone?"

Moriah and Courtney looked up quickly, their eyes were full of tears.
Joel and Luke ran up to the nurse, followed by Moriah and Courtney.

The nurse looked at all of them.
"Alexis Smallbone's parents?"
Moriah and Joel looked at Courtney and Luke. They nodded and Moriah and Joel took a step forward.
"That is us."

The nurse handed them a clipboard and nodded to it.
"Here is Alexis Smallbone's results."

Moriah and Joel read it.
They couldn't believe what they just seen.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL WAS TODAY!!!! AHHH!!!! GONNA UPDATE ALOT THESE NEXT TWO MONTHS!!
