Days Off and Awkward Confrontations

I woke up to the blinding sun. Luckily, I didn't have any lessons today, so I could just do nothing for the day. I turned around and went back to sleep.

I hit myself against something soft. I wasn't sure if that was my pillow or something, but I didn't care at this point. I put arms around it to hug it.

I snuggled up closer to it. It was really warm for some reason. Then, it made a weird rustling noise. I opened my eyes and saw that it was Finn.

I was basically spooning him. I mean we've slept in the same bed before, but never to the point that we were spooning.

I slowly tried to lift my arms, but Finn just wrapped them tighter around him. I sighed and decided to just sleep because I was to tired to care.

•Later•

I woke up feeling refreshed. I looked over to my left and it was empty. I looked around and Finn was nowhere to be found. Then, I saw a little note on the door.

I got out of Finns bed and went to go see what the note said.

Ava,

I had a lecture today so I had to leave early. There's some food in the fridge if you want some. I'll be back around 12.

I put the note down on his desk and just got back into his bed. It was really warm. I just wanted to curl up in a ball and just lie there. But I was craving some coffee.

I wrote Finn a note saying I was gonna take the car keys and his spare key to go get some coffee. I didn't want to text him during a lesson.

I grabbed the spare key to Finns room and went back to my dorm. I'm sure Finn won't mind. I changed into my white jumper with a black ring, my black skinny jeans and my tall dark brown boots. I grabbed my purse and went out.

I went to the parking garage for the cars and drove out to find a Starbucks. I went into a little downtown area and drove for what seemed like decades until I finally found a parking space that was close to Starbucks.

I parked their and went into the Starbucks. I saw a sign on the window that says, Help Wanted. I might apply.

I went and queued. I was one person away from ordering. He took quite a while to order, but I waited with patience. He finally ordered and I was next.

I wasnt sure if I should get a coffee for Finn. I decided to get him his FAVORITE. I ordered and waited in a queue.

As I stood there, I glanced and saw someone next to me look familiar. He was about to look at me and I looked away.

"Ava? What are you doing here" He asked.

I turned to him.

"Hi Jack! I'm just, you know, getting some coffee." I said. I really didn't want to talk to him. Not to be mean, but he was mean to me since primary school. At least I have a reason.

"Right. Um, by the way, I just wanted to say sorry for yesterday." He said. He was apologising? this was to good to be true.

"Oh, um, ok." I said. I didn't know what to say. What was I supposed to say? Im so awkward. Get me out of this situation!

"Ava Green!?" The barista called out.

I breathed a little sigh of relief and went to pick up my drinks.

"Well, um, see ya later, Jack." I said. I was about to leave when Jack called out my name. Shouldn't have said anything.

"Ya?" I asked, turning around.

"You maybe wanna hang out today? If that's ok with you?" He asked.

Oh great. He's probably going to do something to me. I don't trust him being so nice and friendly all of a sudden.

"Um, I kinda have to set up some stuff in my dorm. Maybe some other time?" I said.

"Ok. Do you need any help with anything?" He asked.

"Um, no, I think I'm good. But thanks." I said.

"Wait! Here's my number in case you need any help." He said. He grabbed a pen from the counter and a napkin and scribbled his number on it and gave it to me.

"Oh, um, thanks. Bye." I said, waving.

"Bye!" He said.

Okay, what the fuck is going on?

I came back from a nearby Tescos. I was carrying coffee in both hands and bags hanging off my elbow. I set the bags down on the floor and started to fill the fridge.

After, I finally bought some proper sheets and some pillows. I lay them out on my bed and just flip on my bed.

I look up at my ceiling above my bed. It looks a bit empty. I decided that I'll put some pictures and posters on it.

Then, I hear a knock on my door. I open it and see Finn...and Jack?

You've got to be fucking kidding me.
