Third Wheels and Annoying Knocks

"Hey Finn and Jack. What are you doing here?" I ask.

"We thought that we could just hang out." Jack said.

"You wanted to do this?" I ask Jack.

"Ya, so?" He says.

"Nevermind, come in. By the way, Finn, I have some coffee in the fridge for you." I said as they walked in. They seriously look so similar. Well, they are twins.

"Oh, you shouldn't have!" He said as he took it out of the fridge.

"Consider it as a thank you gift for last night." I said.

"What happened last night?" Jack asked. He looked panicked.

"Um, we just went to dinner and he payed, why?" I said.

"Oh, um, nothing. Did you do anything after?" He asked, suddenly interested in what I have to say.

"We just went back to Finns and hung out." I said.

"Ok." I said.

"Hey Ava, I see you didn't set up your computer yet, do you want me to set that up for you?" Finn asked.

"Oh, I totally forgot. Can you?" I ask.

"Ya sure." He said.

"Yay! Thank you! I'll even help you." I said, running to Finn and giving him a hug. After, I went to my bed and sat there.

"Ya, but we both know I'm gonna end up doing all the work." He said, sitting next to me.

"What? I never!?" I said with a fake taken aback look.

Jack came over and sat next to me. He just sat there and stared at the floor. I was on my phone and tried look like I was doing something.

Why did Finn bring Jack? Or did Jack want to come here? I doubt it. Why would he want to come here? Probably to mess with me.

You may think it's paranoia, but really, it's just an expected thing. When we were in secondary school, he would prank me every chance he got.

"Hello, Ava?" Jack said, waving his hand in front of me.

"Huh? Sorry, what?" I asked.

"I asked if you want it maybe go to the shopping centre with me and Finn?" He said, as it was plainly obvious.

"Right now?" I asked.

"Ya." Finn said.

"Ok, let's go." I said.

•At the Shopping Centre•

"Can we go into this store?" I asked.

"Fine." Jack and Finn said.

The whole day, we were going to some of my stores and some of theirs. Mostly mine. I finally found a store that I thought we would all like.

I kind of felt weird shopping with Jack. Finn and I went around everywhere. I guess it's weird that my arch nemesis, who has somehow become nice, was hanging out with us as if we were friends forever.

"OMG A TOTORO BEANBAG!" I screamed. As you can see, I love totoro with a passion.

"Jesus, keep your voice down!" Jack said.

"You'll get used to it after a while." Finn said.

I ran to the beanbag and jumped up and down like a kid in a candy store. I looked at the price and saw that it was £70. Then, I became sad.

"It's like £70! I'll just wait for it to go on sale. Or you can get it for me as an early birthday gift." I said, nudging Finn.

"Ya, sure." He said, sarcastically.

I gave him my best puppy dog face. He usually gives in when I do this.

"Must...resist..." Finn said.

I kept at it until he finally said no. I guess I have to wait until it goes on sale. I ended up buying a totoro hat, a my neighbour totoro poster, some other poster that looked cool and a tank top shirt.

We went to a couple of other stores and then left. I kind of felt bad for kind of ignoring Jack the whole day, but I think of it as a little payback for all the years of torture he gave me. We all went to Nandos and then went back to our dorm rooms.

I sat on my bed and looked at my ceiling. I decided to put my posters on the ceiling. I got up and put them on. After I was satisfied, I lauded down on my bed and plugged in my headphones. The song I chose was Love Song by Sara Bareilles.

I closed my eyes for what seemed like 6 seconds until I heard a knock on my door. I chose to ignore it and listen to the song.

Then the knocking became persistent, which really irritated me. I paused my song and took off my headphones.

As I swung the door open, I said,

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU W-, Jack?"
