Right, rewind and freeze. How in the name of Snow did she manage to pull an eleven?! I mean, I know she shot an arrow at the game makers and everything, but an eleven?! My reaction is nothing. I literally sit there, a small frown on my face, but I'm sure my expression is unrecognisable. I look over at Peeta, who looks a little shocked.

"To Katniss Everdeen, the girl, on, fire!" Cinna announces, raising his glass in the air.

"Hey wait! Peeta was on fire-" But I'm stopped, as Peeta places his hand on my arm, and shakes his head gently. I just look at him, but then slouch back into the couch.

Later on in the night, we begin to eat supper, I don't think Peeta wants to join us, as he only had a small bite to eat before going straight to his room. Haymitch went to talk to him, but hasn't come back yet, so we've started to eat without him.

"Effie, can I ask you a question?" I ask, and everyone looks up.

"Of course"

"Why the hell has the fish got blue eyes?" Everyone laughs, and digs back into their meal.

"I assume it's for decoration, in fact, even I'm not too sure" She looks up "ahh Haymitch you should join us! We're having some of your favourites!" I turn my head, and sure enough, Haymitch is walking back into the dining room.

"Oh lovely" He picks up a green bean, and slumps down into his seat

"Where's Peeta?" Katniss asks, watching him munch on his crunchy beans.

"He's in his room, now listen. Tomorrow's the last day, and they let us work with our own Tributes right before the games, so you and I, and Lucinda if she wants, will be going down at nine" I just nod, as I the drink I'd been drinking decides to go down the wrong way.

"Well what about him?" She asks, as if reading my mind.

"Oh, he said he wants to be trained on his own from now on" Silence. Nothing is said, I can't even hear anyone breath. I flicker my eyes over to Haymitch, not even moving my head. Everyone's frowning, and Katniss looks confused.

"What?"

"Well this kind of thing does happen, I mean, there's only one winner right?" Haymitch smiles at her. Katniss catches my eye, and doesn't drop her gaze.

"If you'll excuse me for one second" I announce, standing up, and head out of the room.

Knock Knock Knock I stand outside Peeta's room, waiting for him to either come to the door or tell me to come in. But nothing. I turn the doorknob, and walk into the room. He's sitting on his bed, his head in his hands.

"So even telling Haymitch you want to be trained alone, you think it's a good idea to miss the fish with the blue eye?" I tell him sarcastically. He looks up.

"What are you talking about?" I just chuckle.

"Nothing, why are you in here and not out there?" I ask, taking a step nearer to the bed.

"I could ask you the same thing." He argued, standing up.

"Well I've been out there all of the time you've been in here, I wanted to know why you weren't joining us?"

"I needed to be alone, but now your here I doubt I'll get that now, will I?" I laugh, and shake my head "I thought not, why do you even care that I've not joined you? It's not like that's going to stop you from killing me"  He sighs, sitting back down on the bed.

"How would you know? It's not like you know what my plans are"

"Well I've watched you on the screens-" But I cut him off
