We're silent. Well, when I say silent I actually mean trying our best to be as quiet as we can possibly be in order to get out of the woods. I tell you what, it isn't easy, especially when we know the mutts are close by. My mind can't process what's happening, I'm walking right into my deat, I haven't even planned out how I want to go, suppose I might just kill myself and get it over with.

Katniss lowers her bow, as we scan the area quickly, that's when the mutt jumps out of the bush, and begins attacking Peeta with it's nail sharp claws. I try to regain my balance of shock, as Katniss shoots an arrow that lands right through the mutts head. I pull Peeta up, and scream for them both to run,. They do. And I'm right behind them.

C'mon, did you really expect me to stay with them mutts? I mean did you see how ugly they were?! And the size of them, I mean I thought Thresh was huge!

We run, and run, until I'm  actually getting quite out of breath. There's a shimmer of light out of the corner of my eye.

"Quick! The cornucopia! Head for the cornucopia" They're too scared to argue. They quickly turn around, and run straight to the weird looking shape that is the cornucopia.

"Here! Quick!" I shout, as I manage to scramble on top of it, thanks to my whip. Katniss is up, and then we grab for Peeta the same time as the mutts do. We hold on to him for dear life, as the mutts gnaw at his foot. I run to the other side of Katniss, and kick one of the mutts off his foot, and back to the ground.

"You okay?" I gasp, as he fully begins to stand up.

"Yeah" Katniss gives a small scream, and we both spin around. Well, I do, by the time Peeta's facing the same direction, he's on the metal floor. Cato. The final battle, is about to begin.

At first, I don't move, knowing that he'll want it to be just me and him left before he tries to kill me in avenge of his brother. Just as he' s about throw, well, whatever his weapon is in my direction, Peeta tries to tackle him again, but it only ends up with him being thrown back into Katniss, knocking them both over, and then onto the other side of the Cornucopia. I run to him, and make sure he's alright.

"Peeta, Peeta get up c'mon"

"Luce-" He's out of breath, that hit must have been powerful. "Remember your promise"

Oh, yeah, the promise. Keep Katniss alive. I don't break my promises. I look over at Katniss, she's being strangled by Cato. So, I look back at Peeta, then hesitantly run to her. Just as she's about to give up, I grab hold of Cato, and pull him off her with all my strength, that he goes flying in the air. I fall with him, but stand up before him, as he get's up, I tackle him again, and we both struggle to stand. Peeta's back up, but as he's pushed near the edge, he bumps me. I stagger back, and I can feel myself loosing balance. I pull my whip from my arm, but I see Cato grab hold of Peeta's neck, Katniss sliding to her bow, as I start to see the sky. Well, from falling back anyway. I don't scream. I don't even shout any ones name. I just let myself fall. Fall to the mutts.

But before I hit the ground, I give a massive jolt in the air, and I stop. But I'm hanging upside down. Surely this isn't normal? I can't physically move. Almost like I'm wrapped up...

I attempt to look up, and typical me, my whip's jammed into the metal part that sticks out of the cornucopia, and my two feet are wrapped together with my whip. Jeez. The mutts are too occupied trying to get up the other side, so, as Cato mumbles something to Katniss, I heave myself up, and try and unwrap the whip from my boots. It's not as easy as it sounds, but when I do manage it, I lift myself up silently.

"I can still do this. I can still do this" I'm back on top of the Cornucopia. Katniss catches my eye, and I put one finger to my lips, and she looses contact. I quietly grab hold of the handle that was jammed.

"It's the only thing I know how to do"  I can see Peeta pointing to Cato's hand, and I know what he means.

"Bringing pride to my district" I walk slowly behind both boys. when Katniss makes eye contact with me again. I give a slight nod of my head.

"Not that it matters" She shoots her arrow at Cato's hand, as I jump behind, and wrap my whip around his neck.

"I'm sorry" I whisper so quietly that I'm surprised he hears me. I hold him steady as he releases Peeta, who punches him in the stomach. Cato keels over, and I smash my boot into his face with such force that he goes flying off the top of the cornucopia.

His screams are almost unbearable, as the mutts begin tearing him apart. He's whimpering and grunting. I almost think I hear him say please. But Katniss being the girl she is, pulls out her second to last arrow, and shoots the boy in the heart.

His cannon marks his death. Both Peeta and Katniss share a long embrace. And at the moment I should be happy for them, I couldn't be more sick.

There's three Tributes left.

Only two can win.

One has to die.

Me.
