"Anything else?"

I looked up from the five pages of ideas to see Vic, Hime, Tony, and Mike (who had finally introduced himself to me) shaking their heads. I sighed in relief and sat back, flexing my sore hand. The moment I had asked the question, "Any ideas?" it was like the inner divas in the men had came out. They were throwing ideas left and right at me. Some of them weren't even possible, just something they'd thought of. Some of these ideas had nothing to even do with the song we were doing, Props and Mayhem, and it seemed like they just wanted an awesome, unrealistic, dancing video.

"Good. So tomorrow we'll start training-" I began but didn't get very far.

"Will this "training" include physical activity?" Hime asked, cocking his head to the side.

I stared at him, "Yes."

"Oh no, I can't do that."

"I sprained my ankle-"

"I have asthma, I can't do a lot of things."

"Guys!" I shouted, cutting off further objection. "You have to do this."

I gave them pointed looks as they all groaned and whined, starting to stand up. It's like teaching teenagers again, I thought as I also stood and began to pack up my notepad. I was planning to go over my ideas tonight with a nice bowl of ice cream- again. Is it pathetic that ice cream is the highlight of my days now?

"When's next practice?" Vic asked, standing beside me as I pushed my bag up my shoulder.

Tony and Mike were holding their Nerf guns again, pointing them threateningly at Hime who was slowly eating a cookie. I was already expecting to hear his shouts and even though I wanted to see how this would turn out, I faced Vic and smiled kindly.

"Let's say . . . One in the afternoon? Is that good for you guys?" I asked, trying to be considerate of their busy schedule.

He nodded, "Yeah, that's fine-"

An orange Nerf dart hit him on the side of the head. There were boasts of laughter, and even though Vic had the most annoyed face ever on Earth, I couldn't keep the smile from my lips. I covered my mouth with my hand, but when his eyes narrowed I knew that I'd been found out.

"You think that's funny Kayla?" He asked in a dark tone.

I shook my head quickly, "N-No!" But I couldn't even get through that one word before bursting into laughter.

There was barely enough time to think before Vic magically pulled a smaller Nerf gun from behind him. My eyes were the size of saucers as he pulled the trigger, the orange Styrofoam hitting me square in the forehead. I didn't think as my hand shot out and wrapped around the barrel of the toy, trying to yank it out of his grasp. This ensued a tug-a-war for about ten minutes before I won - although I bet if you ask Vic, he'd say he had given it to me.

"Cat fight!" I heard Hime shout as I turned the toy on Vic and began to rapidly shoot at his chest.

Comically, the darts stuck to Vic's shirt. He was starting to get annoyed and kept snatching at the gun, but I darted from his reach and began to race through the gym. I could hear him behind me, and even though I was out of breath and Mr. Brown was probably going to walk in any minute, I couldn't stop laughing. I felt his fingers brush against the back of my shirt and I quickly turned left. Vic scrambled to keep up with me, Tony and Mike cheering me on.

"Hime!" I squealed childishly, hiding behind the taller man. Vic rolled his eyes when he saw what game I was playing.

"Now, now ladies. You can both have me." Hime joked.

I rolled my eyes, "Sorry but I don't want to date a skunk."

"It's not that bad, is it?" He asked insecurely, patting at his vivacious hair.

"Nah, it's good- Vic!" I shrieked when the tanned man suddenly darted forward and yanked the Nerf gun out of my hold.

He used the darts off of his shirt and stuck them into the gun, barely giving me enough to cower behind the table. But it was too late and Vic held my arm as he repeatedly shot the darts into my chest. I was giggling and squirming in his hold, the darts feeling very ticklish when they brushed against my skin. My face was probably flushed bright red and a light hearted smile was on Vic's face. It was probably the most carefree I've seen him all day.

"What the hell is going on here?"

Of course, Mr. Brown had to ruin the good moment we had going.

...

"So, how was your day?" Morgan asked through my phone later that night.

My eyes were locked on my laptop as I replayed 'Props & Mayhem', more ideas running through my mind. I tried to stick to the guys' ideas but my thoughts kept drifting towards a more detailed dance. I had to remind myself that these guys weren't professionals and probably didn't even know what the shuffle was.

I sure had my work cut out for me.

"It was okay," I said after a moment, momentarily forgetting that Morgan was on the line. "The guys are pretty cool."

"They're a riot," Morgan cackled. "Andy had them over one night and God, did they know how to party. I think that was the night Rose was conceived . . ."

"Ew, TMI Morgs. TMI." I said in disgust, my nose curling.

"Oh come on, you can't be disgusted by that! You have to admit, Andy is one smoking hot mother fuc- BEN! NICK! LEAVE YOUR SISTER ALONE!" She suddenly cut off.

I chuckled, "I think your kids need you."

"Yeah, you're right. See ya' dude. Good luck with them!" Were Morgan's departing words.

I sighed and laid my phone down, rubbing my forehead. I was sitting at my kitchen table with my Mac book open and on Youtube. I was flipping through the notebook pages, trying to sort everything together. Vic had suggested a "rope type thingy" while Tony's only request was to look hot while doing it. I rolled my eyes. Boys.

I was just getting back to working on the choreography when my phone began to ring again. I had half a mind to ignore it, but then I saw my older brother's name flash on the ID.

Thom was three years older than me and had been dating Desiree McBeth, the girl who had slept with my ex-boyfriend. They'd been dating since she was twenty and he was twenty three, and they seemed like the ideal couple. However, once I moved down here and anything between the skank and my brother was over and finished with, Morgan had revealed that Thom had tried to make a move on her during college. Even though he was my brother and we were supposed to have that sibling love, I couldn't help but not be surprised.

"What's up, Thom?" I asked, finally answering the phone.

"I need three thousand dollars." Thom stated.

"Not going to happen." Was my immediate response.

"Come on, Kayla! I need money real bad."

"Oh yeah? Like when you were twenty five and needed some money, but used it on drugs? I'm not falling for this again, Thom. Go fuck yourself." I growled before hanging up.

I really shouldn't have answered the phone.
