Hey guys sorry I've been pretty MIA lately but here's another chapter. There's just a lot going on so updates are probably gonna be super slow. Love you guys.
Tay's P.O.V.
"Hey, you good?" Ashley's voice had broken me out of my trance and I nodded slightly. "You sure? You've been out of it all day."
I shrugged as the bell above the door rang. A mother and two toddlers. Ashley sighed.
"I got them," she said quietly. "Why don't you go get yourself a water or something? I feel like you're gonna collapse."
She gave my shoulder a gentle squeeze before walking to ask the family if they needed any help, while I sat down on the stool behind the counter. The door opened again and I looked to see my favorite person.
"What do you want?" I asked tiredly. "I'm really not feeling it today. I had a long night."
"Have you seen Jenna?" she squeaked. "She went out last night because we got into a fight but she just never came home. I'm really worried and I figured you of all people would know."
Worry immediately rose in me. "She didn't go home? Fucking hell, Jenna."
Quickly I grabbed my phone and called her, already pacing from my worry about her. She picked up on the third ring.
"Where the fuck are you?" I asked.
Jenna's crying was clearly heard, but I didn't know what to say. Courtney was staring expectantly at me. "I did something stupid," she whimpered.
"What did you do?"
"I got into a fight."
"With who?" I was fuming, and judging by the look on Courtney's face she thought Jenna had slept with someone.
"Robyn... I wasn't thinking, Tay. I mean, I was thinking. I was thinking about you. And last night when we were talking... You wanted to call things off because you still don't believe how much I love you but I do. I love you so much. More than anything."
I sighed, tracing my finger along the counter. "You need to come home. Courtney's worried about you."
"You talked to her?"
"Well, she showed up to my work. You need to come home. And I'm going to talk to Robyn, and when you get home I'm talking to you. I can't believe you'd be that dumb. You have some explaining to do."
I hung up quickly, but Courtney was quick to pounce. "Where is she? Is she okay? What happened?"
"She's fine, she's fine," I said. "She went out and got into a fight. I don't know where she is, but she's coming home."
"Who did she fight?"
I sighed. "Robyn. I can't believe her. She's so stupid sometimes."
"Well...you're not wrong." We remained in silence for a bit. "Thank you. I, uh... I knew she wouldn't answer if I called... I know I've been sort of intruding and I hate doing it. I love her so much, Tay. I do. She just doesn't and will never love me half as much as she loves you and that's hard for me to deal with. And I also never would've dreamed of saying this to you...ever... but you two were really cute when you were together and you made her so happy." She took a breath after having spilled it out as fast as she could, and I wasn't quite sure what to say. "There, I said it. If Jenna comes by here please tell her to come home. At least so we can talk."
When Courtney was gone, Ashley took her place with a confused look. My phone began ringing before I could explain.
"Robyn? What's wrong?" I asked.
