Chapter Two - Last Day Of Being Seventeen Part 2

>Izzy and Ash on side<

We finished the snacks about half way through the movie, much to Izzy’s disgust I couldn’t be arsed to go and get more and she couldn’t get of the sofa to get any, so we just went without.

"Ash!" Izzy suddenly squealed as her mate, the Packs soon to be Beta, strolled through the open door into the lounge, at least we were able to finish the movie before the meeting ended.

"Thank you" he said looking at me before going over to his mate. "Hey, babe" he said bending down to kiss her lips, "you ready to go?"

Izzy nodded her head, "carry me" she said almost begging him. Ash smiled and picked her up, “see you tomorrow!" she shouted to me over his shoulder as I casually waved goodbye.

I smiled as I watched my 5'6", strawberry blonde haired, cornflower blue eyed, best friend be carried out by her 6'3", hazelnut brown haired, silver grey eyed mate.

Getting up I left the lounge and headed towards the Pack's small meeting room, knowing my dad would have stayed behind to talk with Alpha Stephen, as he usually does.

Once there I paused outside the door, listening in on their conversation, I know it wasn't polite and my parents certainly raised me better, but there was something telling me not to alert them to my presence, at least not yet.

"You really think that what the Oracle prophesied is about them?" my father asked, huh? What’s he talking about? What prophecy I thought and who's 'them'?

"I hope not, there is nothing we can do but wait" sighed Alpha Stephen, wait? Wait for what? I was really curious and wanted them to talk more about it.

"When does Jayden return?" my dad said changing the subject, strangely my heart fluttered upon hearing Jayden’s name.

"Tomorrow morning" you could hear the pride in Alpha Stephen's voice, when he spoke about his eldest son.

For the past two years Jaden had been receiving training from an allied Pack, as was tradition for a future Alpha when they reached the age of eighteen. "As we missed Jayden's twentieth birthday, a 'welcome back' party will hopefully be held this Saturday, two days from now." he continued.

"Okay, but with Kiaya's birthday tomorrow and her receiving an Element, I'm not sure if Brianna and her will be able to make it" my father said.

"When does she receive her Element?" Alpha Stephen asked

"At the same time she was born, 11.54pm" came dad’s reply

"Does she have any idea?" Alpha Stephen enquired, idea about what?

"No" dad said, I panicked slightly as I heard them head towards me, knowing they hadn't scented me, it was a defence mechanism to protect the Pack witch, both present and future ones. It meant my scent was almost non-existent and it could only be detected by my mate, or another Pack witch.

Quickly rushing out of sight of the opening door, I took a deep breath and plastering a smile on my face, bounding back round the corner, I stopped myself before I could collide with them.

"There you are" I grinned, looking up at them, pretending that I hadn’t overheard anything of what they had just said

"Are you two getting taller, or am I shrinking?" I joked making them chuckle, it was a running joke between the three of us, as they towered over me at the height of 6'4" and usually one was accompanied by the other. That was not their only similarity though, as they both had dark brown hair, their only difference seemed to be that dad had ice blue eyes and Alpha Stephen eyes the colour of stormy skies.
