I had three missed calls from Luke and two unread messages from Margo for the past few hours. After Harry said those things, I've been in my room for so long, I slept for seven hours straight. I couldn't actually think of Harry that way and I never thought he would say that. To be honest, I don't have a sense of confidence in me.
I stood up from where I slept, and headed to the bathroom. I didn't care if I get seen by him looking like this, I guess. He already made a point. And without any sign, I saw him sitting at the counter, as he looked at me.
I walked faster but he caught me just in time. "Ava, wait." He pinned me against the wall.
"If you're just going to talk shit about me, I have more important things to do --" I tried pushing him.
"Just wait and listen." He came a bit closer.
"Then, talk." I said as I only looked down.
"Look at me first." He said as his hand guided me and tilted up my chin.
"Talk." we were both looking at each other now and I must say he really had gorgeous green eyes.
"Okay, first, I want to apologize." I rolled my eyes at him as he only sighed.
"I want to apologize for what I said, I was just...stressed out, is all. I never meant anything, okay?" He looked so sorry and I was trying my best to not give in yet. So I walked away without saying anything and took a long bath.
I laid down on the tub, like the depressed woman I am, as I stared blankly at my body. I know I'm not perfect, and I know it's all I am. I heard my phone buzz off as I received a message. I stayed a bit longer.
Then I heard a knock on my door. I knew it was him, so I stood up and got my towel and picked up my phone. I opened the door, and closed it quick. He was about to open his mouth but I was faster. I walked away like he was invisible, like a ghost or some shit.
I went in my room and locked the door. I changed into my new clothes and checked to see who messaged me and I saw Eryn's name on top of the screen.
It wrote:
"Ava, we need to have dinner. We all need to talk. Meet us at The Plaza. See you guys there x"
I looked at myself one last time at the mirror and felt like shit but I guess it'll do. I walked out of my room and saw Harry all dressed up.
"Let's go?" he said as I pretended I didn't hear anything and walked out alone. I put on my earphones and listened to Sheeran. I know I'd get through with this with a little music. I tapped my fingers as he played U.N.I, a song to be in my lifelong playlist, I guess. I chose to walk down the stairs as I remembered a sweet memory of my childhood, with my grandpa and Margo.
It took me about twenty minutes to be here in The Plaza, and there aren't actually a lot of people, but I saw Eryn and Autumn. I gave them a hug as they welcomed me again.
"So, what are we going to talk about?" I smiled.
"Where's Harry? I thought he was coming." Eryn asked as my smile went down.
"What do you mean he's coming?" I asked.
"Yeah, and there he is." Autumn said as I didn't even bother turning around. He gave them both a kiss as he tried giving me one as well. I didn't dodge because I didn't want Autumn and Eryn to know whatever happened to us.
He sat next to me.
And at the other side, there sat the two of them. I wanted to know why he's even here.
"So, what's he doing here though? No one actually said anything to me." I sarcastically said as they giggled.
"Well, he planned it so I think he deserves to be here." Eryn answered.
"Oh, okay." Feeling a little confused but I just played dumb with it. "so what's going on then?" I sighed.
I felt his hand rest on my lap as I removed it quickly. I didn't know what to do actually. "Its okay. I'm fine." I just told him as he sighed in relief and placed his arm around me.
"I think we should all get along you know? Like just the four of us? I mean you could bring a date though, if you want..." as I thought of his change of mood.
"Are you serious?" Autumn felt alive and well after that. She looked excited as hell.
"Yeah, I mean we all got a rough first impression of each other y'know? I just want us to all get along. That's all." He said as he placed his hand on my hand this time. This time, I didn't do anything about it.
"I like that idea." And he smiled at me, for once. He did something right, thank God.
"Us too." The girls said in unison.
"Who's gonna be your date?" Autumn asked Eryn as she looked clueless of who she would invite.
"I guess I'll try and call Ash. He's been way off duty with the thing we call 'fun' for so long and I don't know, I just hope he doesn't have a tight schedule." she answered as Autumn looked at me.
"How about you, Ava?"
"Uhm, I don't know actually. I guess I'll call --"
"You're not calling anyone." Harry said as I looked straight into his eyes -- those green eyes.
"Erm, why not?"
"We need to get along, you and me." He said as I raised my eyebrows.
"So, what are you saying?"
"I'm your date." He answered as his hand rubbed my own and all I heard were Eryn and Autumn's giggles.
