It has been two days since Margo stayed in with us and I've never felt shittier than what I did. I haven't had a decent talk with Ava not even a smile from the both of them. Mr. T took the time to make us both a cup of tea. He went on and on about how life has been for him ever since he met his wife, Lou, and so far I've managed to learn new things and being patient is one of them. In return, I told him about Ava.
"I'm falling for her, Mr. T, it's just—there's something crazy going on when I'm with her, I feel safe and at the same time, in need of an adventure." I stuttered all the way as I talked about her. I noticed him stifle a quick laugh as I remained curious with his reaction. Was I really that into her?
"First of all, you got to stop calling me Mr. T. Will is better, to be honest. I always get called by my fathers' name. Secondly, you're bloody whipped, lad. You better make a move now, or you'll find yourself fighting with someone else over her." He said, as he patted me on my shoulder.
"Woah." That was all I could answer him, making it so easy for us to let out a laugh in the end. I've never had time to think about what he was really trying to say but I had a feeling of disappointment in myself, I just wanted to knock myself out for being an idiot. "So what do I do, then?" I asked as he looked straight at me.
"I was a flirt back then... and somehow it's been working, until now actually. I still act like the guy who fell for Lou the very first time my eyes laid on hers."
I stopped at my tracks and saw the time and it turns out fifteen minutes have already passed with my normal time in here. I thanked Will for the talk and well, the tea. Then I left. Normally, I would cheer myself when I'm planning on doing something big but this time, I was definitely ready. As I was about to go in, I saw a man on our couch with Margo. I didn't know who he was until the familiar voice of Ava introduced me to him.
"Harry, this is Luke." She said as he made his way for me, and we shook hands.
"Ello, mate. I've heard too much about you..." he said as I gave him a soft chuckle.
"Pleasured to meet you too, then." And he goes back to where he was, next to Margo. I didn't want to feel the awkwardness I felt two days ago so I made up my mind to get close to the new comers. I had to, for Ava.
"I just want to apologize for the behavior I made a few days ago, I just really didn't know what to say or do. I mean, it usually happens to me when I meet new people... like how I met Ava," I looked at her straight in her eyes as I could feel her smile trying to grow again. "...I would actually like the four of us to get out and have dinner, maybe..." I suggested as they all look at each other.
"I-I would definitely love that." Margo said as she smiled at me. Thank God, I thought to myself.
"Yeah, I'm in." Luke says as he nodded to me while I wait for a sign from Ava who was already looking at me. I gave her a warm smile as she looked at her sister and Luke then to me, and finally said something worth hearing.
"Sure, wouldn't miss it for the world." She said as she smirked at me. Oh, dear Lord, not now, Avalyn.
I held on to my pants as I made my way to freshen up for the night. When I left the room, I went straight to mine and looked for a decent look to pull this night off. I mean, it wasn't just a night it was for me to be okay with Ava's sister. I wanted to look great, to impress her for a second chance of my impression to her, and I just really hope I don't mess this one up.
I immediately texted Ava to wear something appropriate for me because I would not want to be teased tonight, even though I've been craving for her for the past few days, I still would want to have a good impression from Margo first.
