Third Person's POV

It has been about a week since Christmas Eve, and a week since anyone has seen Aira. The E Class are gathered in Kunugigaoka Café which is where Isogai works.

Kayano looks down at her phone, sighing when Aira doesn't pick up her phone again for the fifth time. And it is already afternoon too. "Kayano-san, is Aira-san not picking up her phone again?" Kanzaki asks worriedly, and she nods in reply.

"Karma-kun, did you do something to her?" Nagisa asks his best friend, who just continues keeping quiet and shrugs. "Oi, Karma, she's our friend! Can you just tell me—" Rio demands, and Karma cuts her off, "We broke up, okay?"

"Why?" Kurahashi asks, shocked. "She kissed Asano. She kissed that damn bastard." He hisses, his hands tightening into fists.

Rinka narrows her eyes, walking over to him and slaps him. Everyone's eyes widen with shock and surprise, even Karma's. "Think about what she is feeling as well, Karma. I bet you didn't even stay to listen to her." She said coldly before walking away, taking her coat.

Kayano quickly stands up, asking, "Rinka-chan, where are you going?"

"I'm going to her house." She replies shortly, and Kayano quickly gives the others an apologetic look before following Rinka.

The door shuts behind them, and Karma sighs in frustration, mumbling to himself, "Does she think I never thought about her feelings? I am not a cold-hearted bastard." A tear slips down his face slowly, and they can sense the grief and sadness from him.

The E Class looks on with sympathy as the prankster starts to fall apart.

Kayano and Rinka breathe heavily as soon as they reach Aira's apartment's front door. Knocking on the door, Kayano yells, "Aira-chan, it is us! Open the door!"

But there is no reply. Rinka tched, and Kayano knocks harder. "Aira! Open up." Rinka orders, but as she has expected, there's no sound coming.

Turning the knob, her eyes widened when the door swings open. They look into the dark apartment, and Kayano quickly goes in, switching on the lights. "Aira-chan? Are you here?" She asks quietly, walking over to her room.

Then, everything seems to go wrong. Her eyes widened when she find Aira lying on the ground, curled into a ball, her breathing heavy. A scream erupts from her throat, and when Rinka comes in, she lost her composure and rushes forward.

Pulling Aira onto her lap, she touches her forehead and retreats quickly, yelling, "Kayano, call the ambulance!" Kayano nods, taking out her phone and waits anxiously for them to pick up. "This is the—" The woman starts speaking, but Kayano cuts her off, "Please! My cousin—she's—please help her!"

Aira opens her eyes slightly, and Rinka looks at her worriedly. "Karma, why aren't you here? Why can't you trust me?" She mumbles before fainting again.

"Why?"

"And to think that today is supposed to be the first day of the new year..." Isogai whispers. After Aira was sent to the hospital, the girls and some of the boys stayed behind to wait for the doctor to come out to know of her situation.

When he finally comes out, everyone stands up, eager and anxious. "Don't worry. She just have a high fever, and has not eaten in days. She might have fainted from the starvation or staying in the cold too long. She should be released tomorrow afternoon as we have to make sure she can have enough nutrients in her body." He explains, smiling.
