Chapter 2, Part 2
"Okay.... Um, my promise is, um, oh! I know! My promise is to always be friends with Mr. Hide, and to never ever forget him," Kaneki exclaimed loudly, his face breaking out into a huge smile.
I softly smiled at him, before nodding towards our intertwined hands,"Look Kaneki."
His eyes shifted down, widening at what they saw,"Woah! O-our hands, they're glowing!"
Our hands were emanating a light blue light, it was swirling around our hands in powerful bursts. We sat silent for awhile, just observing the beautiful power of the glowing orb. Kaneki watched in awe as I picked up his star. As I did so, the excruciating pain of the star's heat was felt throughout my hands. I blinked rapidly, my vision becoming fuzzy. They came to focus again and I looked back down towards the star. My hands were covered in blood, and the star had become red, rather than a beautiful blue. I blinked again and it was gone.

"Mr. Hide! Your hands!" Noticed Kaneki. I shook my head, trying to forget about what I had just seen, now all I had to do was ease the little guy and finish his star.
"It's okay Kaneki, it's supposed to happen! I'm fine, honest" I said in a smile, trying to calm the worried child. He gulped but slowly nodded. I smiled and continued. As soon as I was certain it was complete, I told Kaneki to bring me one of the silk bags for me. Once he did, I put the shimmering orb into it and tied it shut.
"Alrighty then, my turn to make a promise" I told him in a smile.
"Do we do the same thing Mr. Hide?" He asked while giving me a toothy grin. I nodded and his adorable smile only grew.
"Only this time, I get to say my own promise" I said as I grasped his tiny hands in my own once again. He nodded and stared at me right in the eyes, ready for me to make my promise to him.
"I promise..."
AU: Very sorry guys(and girls). I WAS REALLY LAZY THIS WEEKEND, HAD NO SCHOOL FOR FIVE DAYS, SO I SAT AROUND AND JUST SLEPT, PLAYED VIDEO GAMES, AND READ FANFICS.
