guardian of the skies(part 2)

Jellal's POV

As I woke up, I got dressed and walked downstairs. Seeing that the temperature is quite nice, perhaps I shall take a stroll in the rose garden. If only I could muster up the courage to ask Erza to accompany me. She thinks of me as a friend. Perhaps one day it will happen. As I walked through the garden, I spot some scarlet hair. Going in that direction, I see Erza and some others, getting ready to leave.

" Erza? Guys? What are you doing?" I asked.

" We are going to find out if why the man attacked." Erza said trying not to raise suspicion.

"Do you need me to go too?" Before Erza can answer, Mirajane said "why? Are you going to miss Erza?"

"NO! Of course not!" I said, even though I think the opposite.

"Erza, it isn't safe for you guys to go by your yourself." I complained.

"Hello? We are knights! We can take care of ourselves just fine!" Ultear said.

"Yeah! We aren't damsels in distress!" Minerva said.

"Okay okay! I get it! Just be careful!" I said raising my hands to surrender. I dont want to die by the hands of scary woman.

"Don't worry Jellal. We will protect the kingdom with our lives!" Erza said before she left.

Erza's POV

As we walk through the forest, we stayed on full alert.

"There! I see something!" Millianna said. I look at where Millianna is pointing and see an owl.

"It's only an owl." Ultear said.

"Oops." She sheepishly replied.

"Guys, we are almost there. It should be across the hill." Mirajane said.

"Yeah!" They shouted. Suddenly, I heard a shuffle sound.

"Who's there!?" I asked pointing my sword out.

" Erza Scarlet. We meet again."

What? Who are you?

"I am the one you seek. Meet me by the lake. Alone."

Are you her?

"Perhaps. Use your magic Titania. Follow the path."

What path?

" You will find it. I will wait for you."

Why should I trust you?

"You seek answers, no?"

I can't hear her voice anymore. The path. Activating my magic, I tried my best to find a path without showing my power to the others.

"Erza, are you okay? You are staring at the ground." Ultear asked.

"Don't worry. I am fine." I said when behind Ultear, I spotted a path glowing.

"Guys, we should separate here. Ultear and Meredy, go to the middle. Kagura and Millianna, go to the left. Minerva and Mirajane, recheck the part we came from. If you hear a scream, go back for reinforcements. I will go to the right path." The glowing path.

As we parted, I followed the path. Following it, I landed in front of a cave. Cautiously, I walked in, only to find it pitch black. Using my magic, I lit a piece of wood on fire for light. As I explored the cave, I found nothing. All of a sudden, the fire disappeared, and as chilly wind passed by.
