What Amon Wants

Korra stares at it. A dress. She has to wear it for the press conference. Shes not sure what to think of it. It's blue with a bit of white on it and has matching heals, bracelets and hair tie. She slips into the dress, puts the accessories and heels on and takes a look in the mirror. She doesn't look like the korra she knew, she looked like a whole another person. She walks around the room and stumbles a bit. Pema has shown her how to walk in heels, but she still stumbles from time to time. She leaves the room to find a happy Pema standing there. "You look beautiful Korra." She says smiling. "Thanks, but is all of this really necessary?" Korra says. "Yes, the press will be taking your pictures and you need to show the world your serious side." "But I can't walk in these " she says looking at the heels on her feet. "It won't take long, and you'll do great." Pema says with a hand on korras shoulder. "Cmon let's go show tenzin how you look." They walk together to the kitchen, tenzin sees korra and he's surprised "Korra, you look so grown up." he says with a smile. "Thanks." She mutter she agree on the press conference, but not the dress. -- "Avatar, what have you done to stop Amon." one guy says. "Well we don't know what it is that he's going to do, but we will be taking precautions. We will have the police be around the town, they will switching shifts so you're protected." she says. "Does do you think of Amon." Another says. "I think he imposes a big problem." She says. Another one says "Will you fight Amon, if it's needed." "Hold the questions please, yes I will fight him if it's needed. Amon if your listening, what do you want me to do, because I for sure don't know." she says, then Tenzin sends everyone way. -- Korra was meditating, as normal listening to the radio, when Amon came on. "Hello Republic City, apparently the Avatar isn't aware of what I want from her. You must make it illegal to bend, us non-benders can't defend ourselves against benders. If you choose to do so, then I won't take more of anyones bending away, simple. You can choose." then regular radio was on again. Was this true? Could he take away peoples bending. She got up and went to speak with Tenzin. "Did you he-" she says and she was cut off "I'm afraid I did." he says "Is that really possible?" She says "My father had that ability, but only the Avatar can have the ability to take away bending. He may just be using it as a scaring tactic." He replies stroking his beard. "So what do we do?" she's never been more confused in her life. "We shouldn't take this situation lightly, he said that he's taken peoples bending away already. We'll tell the city that if it's happened to them, they let one of the counsilman know." -- "Remember that you guys have a test on chapter one on friday!" Ms. Nemoto says before the bell rings. Korra grabs her binder and slides it into her backpack. "Hey korra you up for training today?" Bolin says. "Yea, one second." She says and walks up to the teacher. "Hi um I was wondering, is there a possibility that I can take it monday." Korra asks. "Hm, no." the teacher says turning back to her stuff. "But i've been dealing with Amon. That isn't fair." She says. "True but that won't be fair to give you more time. End of conversation." the teacher says. Korra turns to walk with Bolin. "I hate her. I've been dealing with more important things than school. The least she can do is give me an extra day!" she says throwing her hands up. "She doesn't even realize what you have to deal with." Bolin says. "Hey korra." a guy says, korra feels like she should know him. "Hey." she says but doesn't remember the boy until he says "I'm Arata from your 7th period." "Oh yea!" She says when it clicks. "I'll see you later korra." bolin says leaving. She worked with Arata on some assignments in class. "So I was wondering if you want to have dinner with me tonight?" he says and korra blushes slightly. "Um sure, what time?" she says hoping he won't see her blush. "7 at the water tribe restraunt." he says she nods and he leaves. She walks up to bolin whos talking to Mako. "Hey guys." she says and is smiling. "Let me guess he's taking you to dinner?" Bolin says. "Um yea how'd you know." she says raising an eyebrow. Mako shakes his head and says "Korra, he asks a girl on a date, then never shows up. He does that with every girl." She crosses her arms and says "He's not like that, I can't believe you'd make something like that up!" "I'm not making it up, it's true!" he replies. "You're just jealous that's all!" She says and crosses her arms. "I am not!" He objects and leaves. "Korra it-" bolin starts but she cuts him off "You too?!?" and she walks away. -- Korras waiting in front of the water tribe restraunt, and Arata was 15 minutes. She was begining that Mako and Bolin were right. She was only gonna stay 15 more minutes and if he didnt show she would leave. ~~15 minutes later~~ 30 minutes have passed and he still wasn't there. Sadly they were right. She's been stood up. She heads back to the island by boat, her energy felt drained since she hasn't eaten yet. Pema walks up to her and asks "How was your date?" Korra looks at the groune while she says "He didn't um, show up." Pema brings Korra into a hug and korra accepts it. She realizes that Pema has been there for Korra when she needs it. Pemas a second mom to Korra. Bringing her arms around her. She lets a tear slip from her eye. Korra mumbles "Thanks Pema." She smiles, trudges to the kitchen fills her plate and heads to her room. She wasn't sure how things would go tomorrow. She didn't want to see him. She wants revenge. She wants revenge on Arata, and she was going to find a way to show everyone the kind of person he really is. She was gonna expose him. -- next day
