Chapter 2:

I heard the alarm clock buzz, but only once while I was half asleep. Deeks and I always get up an hour before needed, because with four kids, you never know what's gonna happen so, you need all the extra time you can get! I opened my eyes, and then I realized the sun was up. I sat up real fast and said,

"Crap, Deeks! We over slep..." Then, he wasn't there. I put my hands over my face, and started crying. He's left me, left me with our four little ninja assassins. I started crying harder, I guess my sobs got loud, because Deeks ran into our room, sat down next to me on our bed, and wrapped his arms around me, one hand rubbing my back, the other hand on the back of my head.

"Shhhh, shhhh, I got you, baby. I got you. What happened?"

"I thought you left me." I said in between sobs, hugging him tighter.

"I'd never leave you. Never." He whispered in my ear. "Now," he said pulling away a little, "Dry your tears, and come eat breakfast. I made your favorite, frittatas! And the kids are still asleep so we can have a little alone time at breakfast."

"Aww. Baby, thank you so much!" I said, then giving him a big kiss on the cheek. It was 7:30 am, we don't have to have the kids at school until 9. Deeks left to go get breakfast ready onto plates and set the table, while I went into the bathroom, washed my face, and pulled my hair up into a messy bun.

Then I walked into the dining room where I saw Deeks, standing behind my chair, with it pulled out. I walked over to the chair and sat down, then he pushed my chair in, and walked over to his. I looked at what was on the table, and there was fresh strawberries and blueberries in a bowl, along with the frittatas, and a big cup of coffee. We both dug into our food, it was so good.

We both finished, and Deeks went to go wake up Sadie, Elliot, Jayden, and Avery. I went into our room and put on my faded ripped jeans, a white tank top, and tied a red plaid shirt around my waist. Then I put on my gold Jack Rogers, and went to help the kids get ready. Wait, I ran back into the room and put on the Pandora bracelet that Deeks gave me on our wedding day. It reminds me of that special day every time I look at my wrist.

I walked past Avery's room first and found Deeks putting her into a long sleeve black romper, and black flip flops. Her little toes were painted hot pink, And on top of her blonde hair was a huge hot pink bow. I smiled, and walked over to Sadie's room.

"Mommy!"

"Yes, darling?" I replied, smiling.

"I have nothing to wear!" She said dramatically, falling onto her bed.

"Well," I said, walking over to her bed and sitting down. "Maybe you can twin with me today."

"Yay! I get to look like mommy today!"

"Ok, now. Let's see what's in your closet." I found her a pair of jeans with holes in the knee, a white t shirt, and a little red plaid shirt like mine. Then she put on her silver Jack Rogers. "Get your bag ready and go wait by the door."

"Ok!" I walked into Jayden's room and found her with her Minnie Mouse shirt on, and a black skater girl skirt, with white lace boot socks peeking out at the top of her red high tops. Her blonde hair was in pig tails with a little curl at the ends. She was getting her backpack ready and saw me.

"Mommy! Daddy got me up this morning and we all ate some frittatas in Sadie's room and watched Mickey Mouse!" She said hugging my legs. I bent down and smiled at her.

"You look so cute today! Now get your bag ready, and go wait with Sadie by the door!"

"Ok! I love you Mommy!"
