Pain;Danny

Jaymie's point

My knee was on fire. Tears streamed down my face as i kept my eyes tightly shut. Danny picked me up as gently as he could and laid me on the bed. I clenched my jaw tightly.

"Jaymie. look at me." Danny said.

I opened my eyes and saw my batttered and bloody boyfriend infront of me. I gasped in pain, trying to say words without screaming. "What. Happened?"

"They know who we both are, they broke your knee and we are now locked in this room." He grabbed a bottle from his jacket. The bottle was full of pills. He put five in his hand and handed me the glass of water on the bed side table. "Take these."

I quickly took the pain killers and clenched my pillow. Danny sat next to me and took my hand. His eyes showed pain and he was lightly touching his ribs. I let go of the pillow and lifted up his shirt with my shaky hands. The right side of his ribs were a deep purple and blue color. My guess is that one rib was brokn and the other two were bruised to the bone.  I tenderly touched them and he groaned in pain.

Shards of pain shot through my leg. Before i could scream Danny put his hand over my mouth.

He was having a hard time moving around but he got up. "We need to get your knee in a splint right away."

"Where the hell will we get a splint?" I gasped. "We are locked in a room with nothing."

He went to the dresser and pulled the drawers out. He kicked the drawers  apart until there were four pieces of wood on the floor. He straightened up and grabbed his rib cage. His face was pale and he was swaying. He got to the bed then collapsed next to me. He went unconscious.

I guess it's up to me. My poor Danny. I thought.

WIth all the power i had i got off the bed and sat on the floor.

Keep going Jaymie. You and Danny are both not in good health right now.Stay focused.

I crawled to the pieces of wood and put them in a pile. I grabbed the jeans that were on the floor and put them there too. Too much pain. I closed my eyes then went under the bed. I opened the trick board then grabbed the knife.

Going back to the wood pieces i grabbed the two longest then used the knife to cut the jeans into pieces. After i got long strips of fabric i carefully placed the long wood pieces on the front and back side of my knee. I used the strips of fabric to secure the wood pieces. When i was done i looked at the make shift brace and felt slightly accoplished.  THe pain in my leg started to subside and i sighed in relief. I went back under the bed and put the knife back into it's hole. Before i put the board back i reached up onto the bed and grabbed Annie's journal and put it back in there as well.

I crawled onto the bed next to Danny and put the blanket over us. The pain killers really kicked in and i fell asleep.

Danny's Point

I woke up and my ribs were killing me. I carefully reached over Jaymie and grabbed the bottle of pain killers. I swallowed them then looked at her. She had made a slpint for her leg out of the wood. I touched the fabric and realized that it was from the pair of jeans that started it all.

I gently kissed her lips. "That's my girl." I whispered then i laid back down. I put my arm around her and she instatnly cuddled up to me like the old days

"I don't want us to die. I love you. You are the love of my life. Every time i proposed to you, you rejected me, saying, 'Danny, although ilove you with all my heart, we are to young.' Next year we will be eighteen. I want to marry you next year. Our love is stronger than anything else. I hope we make it out alive, i want to make your life perfect. We wont have my parents but we will have your mom, and we can be a family again." She put her hand on my chest. I smiled. "Sleep well my love, i will get us out of here, even if it kills me for real."
