Mac's POV
"No."
What?
Why?
I thought she forgives me.
What is she doing?
"Not yet, Alfred."
"Why?"
"Nah, just not ready." Wow. "And I still need to prove if you're really doing it. Court me again then. We'll see."
Wonder what kind of medicine I gave to her bruise, she changes up a little bit. But I thanked that.
She noticed that I was looking at her confusedly.
"Uhm, I ahh.." she stands up and got her bag. She smiles awkwardly and looked at her bruise now covered with white cloth. "Gotta go. Uhh, see you." She waved at me and went already.
I just stood there dumfounded and found myself smiling.
Oh really now?
I contacted Jack. He picks up on the third ring.
"Yo what's up Mackieeee?"
And there he goes again, calling me that stupid nickname he made.
"Shut up Jacksie."
I smiled annoyingly. I can already see images of him being annoyed.
"Don't call me that name, Mac. Now why did you call?"
"What don't you miss me?"
"Dude seriously, that's gay." I can hear him sigh. "So what do you want?"
"Let's meet up at Starbucks. I need your help."
"W--" I hung up. And to be precise, I was trying to stop myself from laughing.
I ready myself and got my car keys and phone. I went to my car that was parked outside my gate and I was shocked that someone was beside it.
He looks familiar.
He noticed me looking at him and he smiled. Who is he?
I nod and opened the gate. I looked at him and his hands were on his pockets. "Uhm, may I help you?"
He smiled. What's with that smile? "Favor to ask."
Huh?
What?
A favor?
Why?
He noticed that I'm quite confused and shocked. He chuckled and looked at me. "Don't hurt her."
He said then walked away. I was just there standing dumfounded. Her.... he's talking about Angel.
How did he know her?
And does Angel know him?
Never mind.
I opened the door of the driver's seat and ran a hand through my hair.
I looked outside the window smiling like an idiot. I still remembered what happened a while ago.
I turned on my engine and drove to the nearest Starbucks. It was a ten minute drive. While I was driving, I saw a car driving so fast. Faster than me. Then store when the traffic light turned red. And so was I. I secretly looked at the window. I can see it was a boy... which is familiar. The window then went down revealing...him.
"Hey.. Mac." He said and plastered a smile.
"Hey what's up?"
"Well nothing much, just in a hurry." He shrugged.
"Driving fast huh?"
"Yep." He said then got a grip on his driving wheel.
"Well see you around." He said then drove...fast leaving me there amazed.
What's his business anyway?
Is he really in a hurry?
I don't see the tense in his face or aura.
I muttered. "Idiot."
I drove and got at Starbucks. I immediately saw Jack waiting. I went in and sat with him.
"So.. why?"
"What why?" I smiled.
"Dude, seriously. Why'd you wanted to meet up? And needed help?"
I smiled mischievously. "I want you to hep me bring Angel back."
He face palmed. "Dude what?"
"Please?"
"Jerk! Our leader asking for help? Are you serious?" He chuckled bewilderedly. "She really hit you hard on the head huh?"
"Hey come on! You're the Casanova of our group." I raised my eyebrows up and down. "So you know all of that."
"Yes. I know. But... you said 'back', it means you don't need my help because you already got her in the first place."
I sighed. "But still, I need your help."
"Okay okay fine." He said while raising both of his hands in defeat.
"Thank you, now what to do?"
"What?"
I raised my eyebrows. "First step."
"Wait, We'll do it now?" His face was priceless.
"Yes now let's go!"
"What?" I dragged him to my car. I know, it's quite gay. But hell yeah! I'm still going to do it. For her, Angel.
I hope she'll give me a chance.
