First Sight 25 - Nightmare

Jungkook's POV

Time Check: 7:30 pm

"Kookie-ah, you won't be able to make it here because the water has risen and it's overflowing from where we pass," TaeTae told me with concern. "The news said that we should expect heavy rainfall and thunderstorms tonight."

I glanced at Ji-Eun cooking dinner. "Arasso hyung."

"Is it okay with her for you to stay there? I mean you just started dating her," he ponders.

I told him about what was going on between me and Ji-eun. He jumped at me and I almost stumble. He was happy and joyful at that. He also keeps on nudging me about it. He was so proud of me.

I glanced at Ji-eun who was busying around the stove for a while.

I opened my mouth. "Yeah." It's more like a question than an answer.

"Really? Did she allow you to stay there for a night?" I heard an anxious Taetae's voice.

"Not yet. I have a theory that guy Minho, her best friend stayed here for a night when she's afraid of thunderstorms. What more if I, the guy she like, would do the same?"

"It's a different situation," he ponders. "Since they're best friends, it's normal for them to cuddle and to do something sweet and as for you... maybe not, since you guys had confessed you liked each other."

"No it's the same," I was taken aback. I managed to calm my voice. "We were both guys. Minho has feelings for Ji-eun. He was the one who told me personally."

"When?"

"Last Friday. I saw the guy who was waiting for Ji-eun to go home..." I told Taehyung the whole story.

"Better watch out for him. It's really complicated," he said in a sharp voice. "You see the thing is Minho has feelings for his best friend who turns out to admit that she likes you and you like her back. Complicated right?" he reasoned out.

I sigh. "I don't know Taetae. I am not gonna discuss this in a phone conversation. BTW, Krystal told me our practice in RBU was cancelled due to the typhoon. Better tell it to Manager Sejin, Si-Hyuk and the hyungs."

"Wait! What?" he sounds taken aback. "How did Krystal told you that? She didn't even--"

"I'll tell it when I get back hyung. Bye!" I ended the call.

I glanced at Ji-eun again who's now in front of the counter. She was chopping soybean swiftly just like Mr. Kim and Jin hyung's. I can hear the knife clicking against the chopping board.

I walk towards the counter. I rest both of my palms on the edge of it as I flex my muscles while watching her.

"You chop really fast huh?" I tried to be seductive but it turns out to be awkward.

She giggled sweetly. She placed the knife beside the chopping board to pinch my cheek left cheek. "Don't try to be too much alluring. It's no good for you. I actually like it when you're awkward around me, it's really cute."

Blood rushed all over the part of that little skin she touches. It's making me crazy again.

She resumes into slicing again and this time, she sliced the okra.

"What if I never become an idol? What if I choose another occupation? Will it be easier for you to answer me?" I asked her seriously.

Her carefree personality has turned into an antsy as she stared at nowhere. "Ouch!" she drops the knife as she holds her thumb abruptly.

I rush over to her. "What happened?!"

I peek at it and I saw that there's blood. She accidentally peeled the part of her skin on her using the knife.
