Chapter 3

I woke up at the sound of the birds’ singing. I love those sounds. They make me feel happy.

I run into the bathroom and take a cold shower to wake me up. I like morning showers. After I get out of it, I put my wet hair into a high tight bun and hydrate my face. Then, I go to my room and put on my favourite bikini under some light washed denim shorts and a navy blue tank top. I put on some flipflops and go downstairs to the kitchen for a good breakfast.

Unfortunately (or hopefully?) there’s only left-over from last night: pizza. I take two pieces and eat them while I think of my day. My parents aren’t home, they went shopping for furniture.

So I guess I’ll do something on my own. Oh right, the surf! I had forgotten about that! Let’s go to the beach so that I can check for some lessons.

When I arrive to the beach, there are more people then yesterday. It’s only 11 am, but there are already about 20 persons. I go straight to the surf shop and I ask for some information. The boy that serves me is a tall tan boy with dark short hair.

‘’Hey, I’d like to know if you give surf lessons here?’’ I ask.

‘’Yes we do. Actually there’s one this afternoon, do you want to register?’’ the boy says.

‘’Yes, um of course! My name is Jordan’’

‘’Good, mine is Aaron if you need any help! And I guess if you need to know something about the city too, you’re new here right?’’ Aaron asks nicely.

‘’Well yes I’m new here, hahaha. Um I’m from Montreal in Canada, we just arrived yesterday’’

‘’Wow, cool! Here’s my number! If you need something, just text or call!’’ he proposes.

‘’I will’’ I say as I walk away.

‘’Oh Jordan! Aaron shouts before I get out of the store, The lesson is at 1 this afternoon! Don’t be late!’’

‘’Ok, I won’t! See you!’’

This guy is so sweet! And cute! I like this!

As I walk home, I decide I would stop at the grocery store to get something for dinner. I take my iPhone to see where it is and follow the way it indicates me.

I guess I’m so concentred on finding the good way, that I bump into someone. The person drops her grocery bags on the ground. I don’t even take the time to look at the person; I just fall to the ground and pick everything up.

 ‘’OMG I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going!’’ I apologize.

‘’Oh no it’s ok, I now have an excuse to tell my mom for not arriving with those asparaguses!’’ She says laughing while picking up the poor vegetables.

As I look up, I see that the person is actually the girl from the airport; the pretty blond girl who was with the cute boy. I guess she recognizes me too because she has a special look on her face.

‘’Hey, were you at the airport yesterday?’’ she asks.

She definitely recognized me

‘’Yes! You were with the cute.. um the BLOND.. haha yes the, um the blond boy, right?’’ I ask nervously.

‘’Yes, I was with him. Are you still jetlag?’’

‘’Not too bad, but still! Haha! And you?’’

‘’Yep, we’ve been traveling a lot these days so, I’m pretty jetlag!’’ She says with a desperate look.

‘’Oh, I see. My name is Jordan by the way’’ I introduce.

‘’Mine is Alli! I have to go! It’s a pleasure meeting you! Thanks again for the asparaguses!’’

‘’Oh you’re welcome haha! And again, I’m so sorry.. If you want me to pay for what I did, I will’’

‘’No no, don’t worry it’s fine! See you around!’’ Alli says before leaving.

So the cute blond guy lives here too...? Anyway, I have to hurry up for my surf lessons!
