Chapter 10

5 minutes after Cody arrived, Tanner joined us. Immediately, the two boys got along. They talked a lot about surf, which they both were huge fans.

''So, how did you know my little sis?'' Cody asked Alex.

''Actually Jordan is my front neighbor. So we just met randomly, through a window..'' Tanner said smiling as he remembered what Alli did earlier.

We got our ice cream on a takeout and head off to the beach. The sky was dark because it was almost 8 and a half, but with our iPhones we could light our way.

Tanner and Alli walked a little bit further and were talking. Cody and I were alone. We sat on the warm sand, watching the deep blue landscape.

''Are you cold?'' Cody asked me after a moment of silent.

''Oh, no, thanks, I have my jacket, thank you'' I respond.

''Oh ok.. So, heum, you just moved here?''

''Yes, I use to live in Montreal. Have you ever been there?''

''Yes, I went 2 or 3 times, such a beautiful city.'' he explained

''Yes, it is..'' I said with nostalgia.

Cody looked at me and understood how sad I still was. He placed his arms around my shoulders and I rested my head on his chest.

It was the first I did that. I never really had rapprochements with anybody other than my parents when I was younger!

He was so warm and I just felt good in his arms.

''I know how you feel, I lived that too..'' he said.

''I know, Alli told me. At least you did that for your career and you succeed pretty well, don't you?''

''Yes, I'm happy of the life I have now. I do what I love and that's all that matters to me.''

''That's good.''

I yawned and closed my eyes, my head still laid in his chest.

''Jetlag?'' he said.

''Yes..''

''Do you want me to take you home?''

''Well, do you mind if we stay here a little bit? It's very comfortable in here.'' I let go.

''As you wish, Jordan'' Cody said kindly.

''You can call me Jord by the way..'' I offered before blacking out.

Someone was shaking me and talking to me so loud it hurt my ears.

I slightly opened my eyes and got blinded by a powerful light that burnt my eyes. I scratched them and finally opened them wide.

The first thing I saw was Cody. Oh, how nice it is to wake up to this face. He was shaking me very hard.

''Relax Cody! Oh my god where am I?''

I looked around and saw the sun at the end of the sea. Was it already morning?

''Jordan we have to go to your house, your parents are probably super worried!''

''Have I slept all night?''

''Yes and it seems like I did too!''

I quickly looked as my phone and found out it was dead. My parents probably tried to call me during the night!
