After we eat, Alli and I go in my bedroom and sit on my bed. I turn my laptop on.

''So, will you explain me what's going on with Alex? What was the ''I'm not popular'' about?, I finally ask.

-It's just that I don't want people to use me. If he really likes me, he doesn't need to know if I'm the popular girl, you know.

-But sooner or later he'll find out!

-Yes, but my brother's career isn't supposed to change anything in my relations!

-Oh I understand. You're right to do that! Anyways, you like him?

-I don't know, you know he's cool by what I saw yet.

-Yes he looks. So tell me more about him!

-He's 17, he's from here but his parents are Italians, he's having his last year of highschool this year and then he wants to go to Princeton in the New Jersey! He surfs and does football too. He's not a very good swimmer, but he likes to chill in the pool! Haha! He has a big brother who lives in England. Yep, that's it!

-That's good for a 10 minutes meeting!

- Yes haha!''

I open the internet on my computer and go on my facebook.

''Hey but what did you do while we were talking?'' Alli asks me.

Just at this moment, I get a message from Gaby, a girl who was at my school in Montreal.

Gaby: Finally! You're out of town! No more stupid dumb asses here anymore!

This girl always picked on me. We used to be good friends, but one day, she just started to say rude things to me, I never knew why.

I guess Alli sees it because she takes my computer and almost yells:

''Who's that bitch?

-No one.

-Why is she talking to you like this? Do you want me to reply? I can be pretty aggressive sometimes!

-No! Alli don't! It's ok she has always been like this with m-''

I don't even have the time to finish that Alli clicks on the ''facebook call'' button.

As soon as Gaby answers, she starts:

''Oh! Look who's calling.. Jordan the freak! What's up in Cali-OH MY F GOD! IT'S ALLI SIMPSON!!, she yells through the screen.

-Yes it's me, freaky.

-What the f Jordan! What are you doing with her?, Gaby asks exitly.

-I guess she's my friend.., I say shyly.

-Yes, I'm her friend. And you'll stop bullying her right now, ok?, Alli says super seriously.

-Oh, you know I was just playing around with her, right Jordan?, Gaby lies.

-Um.. I, yes we are um fri--

-Jordan.'' Alli stops me.

I look at her and look at the screen again. Gaby's exited face is there, watching me, waiting for me to start a new friendship between her and Alli.

But now, I'm in California, and she's in Quebec. She can't hurt me anymore. Not that she did before, she just bugged me. But now I'm not her victim. F her.

''No I'm not your friend Gaby. You've been very rude to me those past months; you don't deserve being introduced to Alli Simpson. Sorry not sorry. Bye, enjoy your life.''

I immediately hang up and look at Alli.

''Wow, that was great! You said exactly what I would have! Come on, let's go take an ice cream to clear our mind a bit, after all, that's the goal of our night, right?''

We take a little bit of money and our jackets and leave my house. I have absolutely no idea where the dairy bar is so I just follow Alli.

On the way there, I take out my phone and check my messages. Cody texted me:

Cody: So what about us hanging out soon?

Me: Yea, that could be nice! We're going to the dairy bar! Wanna come over?

Cody: Yep I'll be there in 15!

I immediately tell Alli that Cody is coming.

''Really? Then I should invite Alex! It could be kind of a double date..?''

''Not really, but do what you want!''

She picks up her phone and call Alex who gave him his number earlier. They talk a bit and Alli tells me that he'll catch up with us with his skate board.

10 minutes later, we arrive at the dairy bar. It's a beautiful vintage place on the waterside. Alli and I sit on a table outside the restaurant and wait for the boys.

''So you lived in Montreal?'' Alli asks me.

''Yep. You, have you always lived here?''

''No, before we lived in Gold Coast, a beach town in Australia. I actually miss this place.. We go at least once a year, but when you lived there all your childhood, it's hard to change environment.. We moved here for Cody's career..''

I can hear a lot of sadness in her voice.. I know how it feels to leave my home, I just did.

''Well, you know, it's important to change things I guess. I already miss my hometown, so I understand you.''

''Yes I guess..''

''You said you moved here for Cody's career? You took a big chance!'' I asks her, completly amazed by their bravery.

''Talking about me, ladies?''

I turn around with my turning bench and see an amused Cody. He was wearing light blue jeans and a big red and white striped hoodie with a hat and white vans, dang he had style.

''I think we found Waldo!'' shouts Alli.

''Really. funny. Have you guys ordered yet?''

''Nop we're still waiting for Alex''

''Who's Alex?''

''Oh I'll explain you later!'' I tell him and invite him to sit with us.
