Chapter 4

When I arrive at the surf shop to get my equipment, nobody’s at the counter. I don’t want to disturb so I do a quick tour of the place with my eyes.

The shop is a little thing; maybe 10 x 15 meters. Everything is at the image of the surf and ocean. On a wall, there are different shades of blue and white, just like a wave. On the other, there’s a painting of a sunset and 3 surfboards hanging to it. In the back of the counters, there are tones of surfboards and wetsuits. Just beside that, there’s a changing room. This place is really zen.

‘’Hey, can I help you?’’

The voice seems familiar.

‘’Yes, I’m here for..’’

As I turn around, I see him; the tall blond boy from the plane. He is even more gorgeous then when I saw him the last time; maybe because he has no shirt on this time. I can’t help but look at his body, a tan and strong swimmer body.

‘’You are here for..?’’ he asks

‘’Oh yea, um sorry, I’m here for the lessons. Aaron told me it was at 1, isn’t it?’’

‘’Oh actually it’s at 2, don’t always listen to Aaron, he’s a little bit confused sometimes, haha!’’

I laugh discretely and look at the ground.

‘‘Have we ever met before? You have beautiful eyes that I think I already saw’’

‘’Um yes, on the plane yesterday, I was waiting for the bathroom right after you’’ I say, a little bit too detailed. Actually, that sounded a little creepy, ugh.

‘’That’s it! Well, let me introduce myself this time: I’m Cody Simpson. And you?’’

‘’Um Jordan, Jordan Hanson.’’ I reply.

‘’Miss Jordan Hanson, it’s a pleasure.’’ He says formally while kissing my hand.

‘’What a gentlemen’’ I says with an amused tone.

‘’People call me like that sometimes, but I prefer when they call me master.’’ He replies, joking.

We just stare at each other’s eyes for a moment. He finally breaks the silent:

‘’So are you equipped? For surfing I mean!’’

‘’Nop, I never surfed so I don’t..’’

‘’It’s not a problem; we have enough stock for you I think! he says, pointing all the equipment they have. Come on, we’ll find something that fits you.’’
