Chapter 5

‘’Does it fit?’’ Cody asks through the door of the little changing room.

‘’Mm yes, but can you just help me shut the zipper please?’’ I say, opening the door.

‘’Yep, just turn.’’

I turn back to Cody to let him help me. I feel him close to me. He pulls away my curly hair that I untied from my bun. His warm hand brushes my neck and gives me shivers. As he pulls the zipper up, he looks up at the mirror in front of me. I was looking at it too. Our eyes meets and I feel like a lightning running through my body. His blue eyes staring at me, it’s kind of distracting. But I can’t look anywhere else than in his eyes.

‘’Ouch Cody!’’ I shout.

He immediately looks down and sees that he zipped my skin.

‘’Oh my god Jordan! I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking at what I was doing, I was looking at your..’’ he stops. ‘’you’re beautiful eyes.’’ He whispers.

I smile, but my face instantly changes into a pain expression.

‘’Oh boy, it’s bleeding..’’ he says, looking a little bit dizzy.

‘’Really? Oh no Cody, I can’t see it, you got to do it!’’ I say, giving him a tissue I took on the counter.

‘’Oh my god.. Ok Cody, you can do it.’’ he says, tying to convince himself.

He’s weird a bit.

‘’Come on, it’s burning!’’

Cody arrives behind me take the tissue. He wipes the blood and goes to the counter. He comes back as fast as he left with a bandage. He applies it and looks up at me with a winner smile.

‘’That was close to death’’ I say, joking.

‘’I’m so sorry..’’ he says with puppy eyes.

‘’It’s ok Cody, it’s just a little scratch. But for now, I’m gonna ask someone else to attach it!’’

Just at this moment, Aaron runs into the store.

‘’Cody! What’s happening? I heard shouts from outside!’’

‘’I accidently zipped her back’’ Cody says with shameful look.

‘’Are you ok?’’ Aaron asks me.

‘’Yes yes! I’m alright. It’s just a little scratch. Everything is fine! I’m a little more worried for Cody, he looks dizzy!’’ I say with a teasing tone.

He looks at me with a look saying: ‘’You wanna play this game?’’

‘’Alright then. Hey Cody, you know you gotta be prepared in 10 minutes for the lesson?’’ Aaron says to Cody.

‘’Wait, YOU are giving the lesson?’’ I ask Cody.

‘’Yep m’am.’’ He tells me with a playful look.

Oh my god, this guy is so funny.
