-a few months later-
I decided to take a year off of school. I was pregnant, and still not sure what I wanted to do with my life. I was only about four months pregnant and I was beginning to show a bit more, but I hadn't told Brendon. I was scared to tell him, I knew he would be happy but I was still scared to tell him. I had to tell him.
"Hey, Babe," I called softly to Brendon. It was almost 2 A.M. In the morning and I couldn't fall asleep.
He groaned and rolled over, "Yeah, what's up?"
"Can we go to McDonald's?" I asked him. I was craving chicken nuggets.
He rolled over and looked at his alarm clock, "Now?"
"Yeah now, I want some nuggets," I responded and he chuckled softly.
"You're so cute sometimes. Let me grab some some things and I'll meet you at the car," he got out of bed and I went down to the car. I hadn't been to the doctor yet. I was scared, because when I got pregnant I was 17, but now I'm 18 so I hope that means everything was okay. Brendon is still older than me though. So I'm not sure if that means everything is okay.
I looked at my stomach when I was waiting for Brendon. Only leggings fit me now, I had no idea what Brendon thought of my swollen stomach. He got into the car a few moments later.
I looked over at him while he drove, he seemed nervous a little. I had no idea why. We ended up in a McDonald's about 10 minutes later.
"Chicken nuggets and a sweet tea?" Brendon confirmed. I nodded and he went inside to go get it. I had to tell him I was pregnant. I was scared. My palms were starting to sweat.
He came back outside and we sat on the hood of his car eating chicken nuggets.
We suddenly both started talking.
"You go first," I stuffed a chicken nugget in my mouth.
He dropped his keys when he got off the hood of the car and held his arm out to motion me to get off.
"Are you going to pick those up?" I motioned at the keys.
He looked nervous and locked eyes with me. He bent down on one leg and ignored the keys. He pulled out a small black box and inside it was the most beautiful diamond ring I had ever seen, "Alana Brooke Voyles, will you give me the pleasure and marry me?"
I was shocked and I wasn't expecting it. Especially not at 2 A.M. in a McDonald's parking lot.
"Yes," I replied. He stood up and embraced me quickly.
"Mrs. Alana Urie," He began to rub my back in the embrace. I kissed him on the lips and I knew right now was a perfect time to tell him.
"Don't forget about baby Urie," I said softly.
Brendon let go of me and gave me a confused look, "baby Urie?"
"Brendon, I'm pregnant," I began.
His eyes nearly popped out of his head, "What?!?" His eyes didn't leave my stomach.
I began to cry, "I'm about 4 months pregnant, I haven't seen a doctor yet."
Brendon suddenly looked nervous, "I'll make an appointment when the clinic opens up later today. We need to make sure you're okay." He pointed to me and then my stomach. He drove us home and we peacefully went back to sleep.

I was nervous about going to the doctors. They made a room for me and told me they could tell the gender of the baby that day. I was scared to see the gender, but I wanted to know. They covered me in the gel and she was looking around on the ultrasound for the baby.
The doctor smiled at me, "Would you like to see your baby?"
I nodded and she tilted the screen towards me. I saw a small person inside of me.
"Congratulations, it's a girl."
