Isaiah dropped me off at the house, and said he had somewhere to go.
"Where you going?" I asked.
He hesitated. "Well, I'm actually going to see Jazmin."
My stomach lurched but I forced a grin. "Oh. What do you need to see her about?"
He cleared his throat. "She needs help with Chemistry and asked me to help her."
"When did she ask you?" I asked.
"A few weeks ago."
Before we started dating. "Oh, well that's fine." I kept my grin plastered against my face.
"Don't worry. I have absolutely no interest in her." He assured me. "I am crazy about you and no whore is gonna change that."
I chuckled. The fact that he called her a whore made me sure that nothing was going to happen.
"When will you be back? Mom wants me to help her with dinner tonight and were making some sort of pasta. You should be here."
He laughed. "Alright. I will."
"Besides, we have to make it seem like nothing is going on between us."
He chuckled. "I thought you didn't care if they found out?"
"I don't. But I also don't think now is the perfect time to make it obvious that we've basically been--"
"Fucking each other senseless behind their backs." He finished for me with a huge grin on his face.
I felt my face go hot and I shook my head, looking down. "You're an ass." I said, half-joking.
"You love me." He laughed.
"In your dreams." I started to walk away from his car.
"Love you!" He yelled after me.
I half turned and glanced at him. "Love you too."
Then he pulled out of the driveway and I watched him drive off.
