I decide to wonder the halls to clear my head. Why the hell was Jenny trying to make me stay dead?
And why did I want her to?
I mean it would've been easier to just stay dead. But what about Chloe? And Tate sure as hell wouldn't let me die. And even tho I hate my aunt, I know how much she loves me.
I can't just leave them like that. I can't leave like dad and Jenny did. Like James and Alex.
Now that I think about it everyone we've met has left us. Jenny killed herself. Bray was in that God awful accident. James took his own life. And Alex was shot down by some gang in our neighborhood park. And daddy was missing in action for over four years. They gave up on him and told us he was dead. Momma gave up on him. Then she gave up on me after James left. I never gave up on him. I never lost hope.I'll never lose hope.
Tate's POV
"Would you like some tea Mister Whiskers?" Chloe asks her stuffed cat.
"Of course." She says in a gruff voice.
"Hey Chlo Bo." Says Troy. "We wanna play tea party too" he slams his baseball bat into her tea pots and tes cups while Bryan rips up her stuffed toys.
I was about to beat the shit out of those kids when Chloe stands up.
She picks up one of the glass shards and throws it at Troy and hits him in the eyeball.
Everything stops. Bryan stops ripping the toys. They both stop and stare in shock.
"What're you gonna do about it huh?" Asks Bryan.
Her cold glare snaps to Bryan. She walks over with a piece of glass in her bloody little hand and viciously starts attacking him. hacking away at his face."Hey Chloe I think they've had enough" i say
She stands up and walks back to me.
"Crybaby." Troy grumbles, pulling the glass from his eye.
Chloe spins around and for a second i thought she was gonna go on a murder spree."Go away." Chloe growled. Her facial expression was murderous.
When they didn't leave she stepped forward, "I said GO AWAY!" She shouted.
The boys physically flinched and disappeared.
I looked at Chloe with wide eyes and she smiled back at me. She ran up and reached for me to pick her up. As I lift her up she says, "I don't think those assholes are gonna bother me anymore." And grins.
