"Out. Out now." Tate said, pushing me towards the elevator.
"But what about you??"
"I'll be down in a second."
"What if they're down stairs!?"
He sighed. "You know you ask a lot of questions."
"You know you didn't have to hang out with me."
He grinned. "I guess this is what I signed up for." And with that, he pushed me in the elevator and hit the ground floor button.
Tate's POV
I pushed her into the elevator and ran off to find out if Jenny was here. I found Chloe a few blocks away from the house. She'd told him that there wasn't a wreck, that they where at a gas station and Jenny forgot Chloe, so she decided to walk back home.
I ran to the front desk and there was still someone there.
"Excuse me, excuse me!! Is there a Jenny Hughes here?"
She looked up and said "yes. Um she's in room 613 right down the hall."
"Thanks" and I took off.
When I got to the room the door was half open. I pushed it the rest of the way open and called out "Jenny?"
She was standing near the window, the open window looking out at the ground.
"Jenny!" I gasped. "Jenny no! Don't do it!"
"I left Chloe at that gas station-"
"She's ok she's here down in the car."
"I let Braylon die."
"That wasn't you're fault."
"And Rose... My sweet Rose, she never knew her real last name.."
"What do you mean? Her parents.."
"Her mother change they're name when they're father first left. and her fathers last name was changed because he was ashamed of his parents drinking problems."
"So what's her name?"
She finally turned her head to look at me and said "Rose Herondale. Tessa Rose Herondale."
And with that she jumped.
Roses POV
After what felt like ages, she finally reached the bottom floor. there seemed to be no chaos here. as if the gunshot was meant for my floor only.
I was about to ask the lady at the desk about it, when I saw a body fall past the glass window above her head and heard the sickening smack of the body hitting the pavement.
I let out a high pitched shriek and ran out.
When I saw who it was I collapsed and let out a scream and started to cry.
I feel like I'm writing really short chapters😔
