Bam POV

I was still dealing with a man that had scared my family. He had Amelia and my niece at gunpoint. I was going to take him into Hoonah for the police could handle it but the next thing he said got my attention "Don't make me leave yet, I have to fetch my wife." "Where is your wife?" "She is in woods where I left her." "You left your wife in the woods? Did she have a gun or anything to protect herself?" "No, her life is for my pleasure, she is only used for baring children." I wanted to kill that man after he had said that about his wife. She is probably terrified. I leave in tied up outside of the main house, I bring Gabe to watch him. All of my brothers with their wives and children had left for each of their individual places. I tell dad that his wife is out in the woods somewhere. "Have him take you there and bring her back. Then Bear and I will take him into town." I nod as I walk back outside to deal with him.

He led me into the woods almost going up a mountain to the alpine. Then I see a women sitting by a fire with a blanket wrapped around her. She had brown hair that was wet. As I approached her, I could see her blue eyes as the fire reflected on them. She saw her husband and became scared. She jumped up as he came into view. Matt had his gun pointed at him as I helped her up. She had a limp. "Did you hurt your leg?" She whispered "Yes, I think I hurt my ankle." I pick her and carried her bridal style. I could tell she was scared when I did that.

Eleanor POV

Every time my husband had put his hands on me were for two things: sex or to beat me. Then this other man picked me up because I had hurt my ankle. If it would have been my husband, I would have screamed inside waiting for the beating. I felt differently with this man. His touch made me feel safe. I had never felt that way with any other man. I was born in a small village in England. My husband didn't like my accent so he made me hide it. I had come to America against my parents and they disowned me. I had just enough money for a plane ride but that was it. The only way I could make money was to become a prostitute. I had a pimp that had treated me like a queen and then he threw me out after he had enough of me. I was too old for the trade. I was living on the street when Chris found me. He was my salvation. He took me and it was love at first sight.

Then it turned violent. I wouldn't cook dinner the way he wanted it or his shirt wasn't ironed the next morning for him to go to work. He had worked on Wall Street then the country went into a recession. We lost everything after he was laid off. He decides that we would move to Alaska. We stole a boat to get to this island. Then he took the gun off of the boat to see a family living there. We left the boat as we pulled it to close to the shore as now it was stuck on top of rocks. We walked until we saw a lady with red hair follow a creek. He told me to stay put. I waited all night for him. Then I see two other men with him and he is tied up. One man had mostly grey hair that looked like it hadn't been brushed in months with a gun pointed at Chris. Then the other one had round glassed and some grey hair along his hair line. He was wearing a tank top that showed all of his muscles. He also had a tattoo of a cross. Chris had made us go to church every Sunday and I was scared this beautiful man would be the same way.

Bam POV

I carried her all the way back to Browntown. She was light as if she hadn't eaten in a long time. I brought her to the medical cabin with Grace waiting with Lacy and Amelia. I put her down on the table, telling Grace her main injury. "She hurt her ankle, we don't know if its broken or not." "Okay, I will get her taken care of." I walked back to the beach to see dad and Bear on the skiff taking him into town. I walk back to the trapper shack to get some well needed sleep.

Eleanor POV

"Hi, my name is Grace and I'm a doctor. These are my sisters, Lacy and Amelia." I just wave my hand. "Let me look at your ankle."
