chapter 2

Wensday 2:07pm:

I can't get the scene out of my head. Why did Jenifer give my brother that look? Since when do they talk? Are they friends?

I walk out of school and look for my brother. I can't seem to find him anywhere. I decide to walk home. It's not far, like 15 minutes.

When I get home I lay down on the couch and take out my homework. I hear the front door open. "Hey Lacey," I look up from my math book and see the Blake twins. "You know Victor and Mason right?"

I nod. They both have blonde hair and blue eyes. Victors hair is longer then Masons, but not long enough to put in a pony tail. I don't say anything and they go into the kitchen. I only hear bits of there conversation. I get up and sit next to the entrance to the kitchen.

"When do you think it'll happen?" I here one of the twins ask.

Cole sighs, "After her sixteenth birthday." Its silent for a moment. "Its in a week." I walk back to the couch when I heard them coming back into the living room."so, party, here on Friday?" Cole gives the boys a devious look.

"Let's do it." Victor says.

"I don't know, what if our parents find out?" Mason says. He looks at me for help. I feel uncomfortable, so I get my homework and silently go to my room. I'm not a big talker.

After two hours or so I hear the front door close and my brother running up the stairs. He knocks on my door. "Hey, can I come in?"

"Of course." He slowly pocks his head in my room and sits next to me on my bed.

"How was school?"

"Fine."

"How'd you get home?"

"Walked." I continue with my health homework.

"What are you working on?"

"Health." The room grows quiet. I can feel his eyes on me. I look at him, "do you need something?" I give him a smile and he kisses my head.

"No, just want to spend some time with my favorite sister." He lays down next to me and steals my lap top.

"What are you doing?" He doesn't answer he just gose on Netflix and puts on That 70's Show.(I love that show)

After three episodes we hear the front door open. "Lacey, Cole come down here please."

We plus the show and make our way put of my room and down the stairs."what's up mom?"

"Cole come down here and get your sister." We walk down the stairs and take a right into the living room. He sits next to her an I sit in the chair across the room. "Now I thing its time we all sit and have a family meeting."she is hesitant about what she's says."honey," she's looking at me now. "I'm taking Friday night off work and we are going to attend the mayor's get together at his house." I glance to Cole who is now on his phone, probably texting the twins to cancel their party.

"Why?" I didn't mean for it to come out so rude but it did.

"Because, Lacey, I want to go and its a family thing. Therefore you are going too." She just storms off. I don't know why or how I get her so mad all the time, but I do.
