Thursday 2:15 (schools out):
I looked around to find Cole but still nothing. "Lacey can we talk?" I looked behind me to see Victor.
"Um...yeah sure, what's up?" Where the hell is Cole.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go to my fathers party with me tomorrow?" What!? Dose victor like me?
"Can I get back to you on that?" I spot out Cole and he gave me a getyourassoverhere look.Victor put his number in my phone and he put his name as Vic. Do a lot of people call him that?
I get into the front sit of Cole's car and he pulls out of the school parking lot.
"Didn't you have football practice today?" I asked him knowing the answer.
"Yeah, mom talked to coach and everything is good." That means mom bitched him out again. It happens way to much.
"Do you know why we are going to the station?" Cole seems off. He's not into our conversation.
"Nope," we sit in silence for a few blocks till he turns the readio on. "Why were you talking to Victor?" Fuck.
"He asked me to that stupid party at his house tomorrow. I wanted to talk to mom about it first."
"Yeah good idea. You know how she can get. I would be careful around him though I don't trust him."
"Why do you say that?" The last time I looked weren't they friends?
He doesn't say anything for a moment. "I don't know, Just a feeling." He seems weird, but I shake it off when I get a pounding headache. "You okay?"
"Umm, yeah just got a headache out of nowhere." He looks at me then gets a pill bottle from his glove compartment.
"Take one, the doctor gave them to me when started getting them." My brother gets really bad headaches maybe once or twice a month. I never really knew what happed with that him and my mom just kinda stopped talking about them, or at least when I'm around.
We pull into the station, and park right next to our mom. We get out and go in.
My brother walks to the front desk, "hey Stella, is our mom in her office?" Stella is the officer at the front desk she is really nice. She is probably around 30ish not new to the game but not old either.
"Yeah, she has been waiting for you two. Want me to walk you back?"
"No thanks, we got it. See you later." I used to think Cole liked her cuz he was always so nice but I don't know anymore.
"Hey I'm gonna go use the bathroom." I haven't used the restroom since lunch and really have to go now.
"Okay, I'll tell mom."
I can hear them talking. I'm right outside her office. Their whispering, so I can't really make out all of it.
"She's getting the headaches mom, what are we going to do?"
"Keep your voice down. What if someone hears you? I need this job, you know why and if its happing to your sister, then in going to really need this job."
"I know-" I decided to walk in now before I hear something I'm not supposed to.
"Oh, hi honey," mom gives me a smile and Cole turns around. He doesn't seem vary happy, and for some reason I get the feeling is because of me.
"So, mom what did you need us for?"
