"Okay you two, we're going to have some changes in our house soon." Mom says while we sit in front of her desk and she goes on. "How would you two feel about a officer dog living with us?"
"A dog, we're getting a dog?" I'm so excited I've never had a dog. Our father didn't like dogs or animals vary much. I never understood why. I glanced over at Cole and he looked worried.
"Mom, are you sure this is a good time to have a dog?" I don't understand him sometime. Before my mom could answer him the was a knock at the door.
"Are we ready for Max?" Stella popped her head into the room.
"Yes, I believe so." Stella opened the door completely and there was the cutest dog I've ever seen. Cole takes the leash from Stella and pets our new German Shepherd. I can't wait to take him home. "Now the reason I wanted you two to come up is to take max the Petco and get so food and things he may need at home."
"Of course mom." Cole stands up and kisses mom's cheek and she hands him some money. "Come on Lacey let's let mom get back to work." I wave to mom and we walk out with max. He is so cute.
"How old do you think he is?" I look at max then back to Cole.
"I don't know, maybe a year or two?" He keeps his eyes on the road.
"Yeah, maybe. Hey, did you tell mom about Victor?" He looks at me for a second and starts laughing.
"Hey, its your date. You have to ask yourself." I take a deep breath and look out the window. I watch all the trees, house, and other buildings go by.
Friday 12:18 AM
"DANM IT MOM." My brother's screaming wakes me up. I hear something thrown. I look around to find max shaking at my feet and my phone says its 12:18 in the middle of the night. I get out of bed and my room into the hallway. I find myself sitting at the top of the stairs with max right by my side.
"Cole keep your fuckin voice down your going to wake up your sister!" She whisper screams, but its too late for that I'm already up.
"How could you bring a dog into this home?" Why is Cole so pissed and hurt at the same time.
They don't say anything for awhile. I think they're hugging or something. I wonder why they are fighting about max he's the prefect dog ever, and super cute too.
"Let's go to bed, sweet heart. We can talk about it more in the morning." I hear they walking to the steps but before I can get back into my room mom sees me. Instead of giving me a look she gives Cole one. Its nice not being her target for the night. She looks at me for a moment, "you too, bed."
