Bellamy POV

It's been a few hours since Spencer and I have started our mission. He likes to call it a mission because it sounds cooler. He's actually a really funny kid but knows when to take things seriously.

"So why does everyone call your sister the Commander?" I asked him as we walk through the woods.

"Well it all started as a joke at first but then it stuck. We all began to call her that." He said as he walked.

"And what about the face paint you all wear?" I asked him.

"Not all of us wear it. I mean I do because I think it looks cool." He laughed as he said that. "But Lexa uses it to help shield her emotions."

"Is Lexa always so serious?" I asked him as I looked around.

"She use to not be. She use to be happy and laugh all the time. But that ended when her girlfriend, Costia, passed away." He stated.

"Did she get bit?"

"No this was before the walkers. Costia had cancer, and my sister loved her so much. But one day, the cancer became to much and she passed. After that Lexa was quiet, never showed what she was feeling." He shrugged.

"I'm sorry for her loss, were you close with Costia as well?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I mean Lexa and her were together for two years. So it did a lot to her, I'm hoping Clarke will break Lexa out of her shell." He stated.

"Why would Clarke help Lexa?"

"Well I see how they look at each other. I know my sister, she looks at Lexa like how she would look at Costia." He smiled as we climbed further up the mountain.

I nodded in response and realize how close we were to the top. "We are getting close to the top."

"So do you think this is where they have there camp?" He asked me.

"I hope so. I really want to find the rest of our people." I say and look around.

Spencer and I stayed close together, searching the area. As we get closer to a flat part of the mountain a smoke bomb lands and opens right in front of us. Pink smoke opens up and before I even realize Spencer falls to the ground.

I cover my nose and mouth with my shirt. I get a little light headed as I try to find a way to get out of the smoke. As I walk a man walks over to me in a gas mask. Before I can even react he hits he with the end of his rifle, knocking me out.

I wake up groggy and look around. My hands and feet were tied to a metal chair. My head pounded with pain as I awoke. I tried to pull against the ties that held me in the chair.

"Spencer." I whispered to myself, realizing he wasn't with me. "Spencer!" I yelled pulling against the ties.

"It's no use." I heard a man say as he walked inside the room.

"Who are you?" I asked him as he walked in.

"I should be asking you the same thing. But I pretty much have a feeling from already talking to the other boy." He smiled, standing in front of me.

"Where is he?" He asked, angrily.

"Wow did I strike a nerve?" He asked.

I looked at him, my eyebrows furrowed with anger. What did he want from us? How could I let Spencer and I get captured? What will Lexa say?

"Well I know the boy has a sister who he says when she finds me she'll kill me." He laughs. "So I'm guessing his sister is your leader?"

I didn't answer him. What was I supposed to say? I couldn't lose the only chance we had of saving everyone.

"Fine, won't speak? I guess I'll have to force it out of you." He smiles and suddenly he punches me hard, multiple times across the face.

All I can think about is being blamed for letting them know about us. I can't let that happen.

I scream in pain as he hits me and uses needles to make me talk. I try my hardest and don't say a word. He left me for what seemed like a day before he came back.

"Well since you're not going to talk, we are going to let you go. To send a message to your leader." He smiles as two men walk in and untie me but hold me by my arms.

They blindfolded me and leaded me through whenever we were going. They pull the blindfold off and the bright light blinds me. When my eyes adjusts, I realize I'm outside.

"Now you are going to give this to your leader." He says handing me a box. "Tell her that Cage says, if you ever come back here again, we will kill every last one of you." He says as he tapes my hands to the box.

"Where's Spencer?" I ask and he just ignores the question.

"You better get going then." He smiles. "Hopefully you can fight walkers with your feet." He says before walking back into the bunker.

I tried kicking the main door multiple times but there was nothing I could do. They still had Spencer and the rest of our people. I had to get back to Lexa, we need another plan.

I start to run as I have to make my way back to them. Tell them what I know.

It took me another day and a half till I saw the school. The sun was starting to go down and I ran a little bit more.

"Is anyone here?" I yelled to get the guards attention.

"Bellamy? Is that you?" Someone said from the roof. It must have been one of the men that keep watch.

"Yes, please get the Commander!" I yell and I see him nod.

Within a minute Lexa and Clarke and several others walk over.

"Bellamy what happened?" Clarke asked as she saw me.

"Commander wait." I told them both as I looked at them. "Cage, the Mountain Men's leader, says he has a message for you."

The Commander looked at me with a serious look. I could tell she wanted to know where her brother was. "Is it in the box?" She asked.

I nodded and saw her pull out her knife that was on her side. She walked over away from everyone to me.

"Do you know what's inside?" She asked me.

I shook my head. "He said if we ever go to the mountain again, he will kill all of us." I say.

She nods and takes her knife, slowing cutting the type. She opens the box slowly and we both look inside.

The Commander's eyes went wide when we both saw her brother's head in the box. She dropped her knife on the ground and took a step back.

"Commander, I..." Before I could even finish what I was going to say she turned around and walked away, straight into the building. I looked at Clarke and saw the worry in her eyes.

Tears were in my eyes as I saw Clarke walk over and look in the box. She gasped and put her hand over her mouth.

"I'm so sorry." I whispered. "I had no idea they did this." I say to her.

She didn't say a word and removed my hands from the box and closed it up.

"Let's go get you patched up. We can talk about what happened in the morning." She said, sadness in her eyes.

I nodded as I began to walk with her. This was my fault.
