Day 49
I had a revelation in my dream. 42 was the all important number. Dave told me that the radio needed 42. In line with all of his other gibberish I didn't understand at the time.
3:00 AM
I realized that I needed to tune the radio to Station 42. So I did. I found just old music. Billy Joel - It's Still Rock and Roll to Me started me off. Then, Queen - This Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
4:00 AM
Dave has returned to his terrestrial being. Fern is slowly coping with the fact that he can't have that tomato. The station played a lot of '50s hits. The first one was It Takes Two to Tango - Louis Armstrong, then Bobby Darin - Beyond the Sea.
9:00 AM
I'm going to sleep with the fact that Fern almost ate Dave. I need to let Fern have something other than his sort of "dog food" I guess. Variety is the spice of life.
Day 51
I decided that I would do something with myself and bake a loaf of bread, specifically pumpernickel. I would feed small parts of it to Fern probably.
12:00 AM
Dave has returned once again with news of our current surroundings. We are nearing another galaxy, the Andromeda to be exact. Fern seems to be liking the pumpernickel.
