Day 35
The darkness was creepy but we passed by a star, Lee. I saw that a rock snagged onto the hook, I guess I left the hook out.
2:00 AM
I dragged in the rock and it had a strange device on it. I had seen something similar to this on Earth. I ended up recognizing it. It was a solar panel. Alternate energy was my only hope, in this desolate wasteland. I wonder if this is just a really weird coincidence or the otherworldly force sensed my generator break down.
3:00 AM
The lights came back on. Dave is growing on the window, a lot. He grew his first little tomato. Fern is vying for that tomato. I won't let him have it though. Fern's instincts are getting the best of him.
Day 40
I heard a ringing outside. I opened the door and saw another shack. But this time the door was open and it had much more stuff than the previous. I grappled it to my vessel and saw what was inside. A Dorman Radio Unit, with a headset, and a receiver, lay inside. The ringing came the from the untuned unit. I entered the shack and saw the many posters. This is undeniable proof that the universe is trying to communicate with me, I just don't know how to talk to it. The posters were lots of 1942 memorabilia, such as Casablanca and Glenn Miller. There was a bunch of Cardinals merchandise too. Two windows were in the shack, one on each side, each being four panels down, and two across. The two sets of red curtains each had 4 white stripes on them.
3:20 AM
I watched Edward Scissorhands with Dave and Fern. Dave seemed to enjoy it, but Fern couldn't focus because of the tomato growing on Dave.
Day 47
A new rock passed by, I snatched it. It had four packages on it. I opened each and they all had 2 jars of non-perishables.
12:00 AM
I started my garden, and had Dave watch over it. The little sprouts didn't have names, I didn't want to get attached. This was to be food source for the next long time. Dave suggested that I plant them in rows of 4, and have 2 columns.
1:00 AM
Dave and I watched the Sandlot while Fern was asleep. Dave liked Smalls, he seemed to remind him of me. I didn't see the "resemblance" if you could call it that.
