{Fionna's POV}
I woke up and stretched out, to see Marshall not laying in bed. Hmm... I wonder... I got up and walked into the kitchen to see a note on the counter. I picked it up and read:
"Hey Fi,
I went out to pick up a couple of things... Won't be back till 6 or so. Maybe you wanna meet at 6:30 at the big Oak?
The VampireKing"
I smiled. 'What's the big Oak?' You ask. Well, when I was younger and well... Alive Marshall and I would always- Here, I'll give it to you in a flashback.
-Flashback Begins-
"Cake! I'm going to go to the big Oak tree!" I yelled.
"Okay, sugarness. Be careful. You're only 14!" She said. I fist pumped in the air. I ran out the door. Maybe she knows I'm going to the big Oak, but what she doesn't know is that I'm hanging with Marshall! I sprinted all the way to it.
"Hey Goldilocks." Marshall said. I smiled.
"MARSHALL BRO!" I yelled. I jumped into his arms. I missed him so much. He's always gone. The big Oak is the halfway point between his and my house, so it's just naturally where we always end up meeting, so we're used to it by now.
"Haven't seen these bunny ears in what? A month?" He asked.
"Yeah, ever since you started ignoring me." I said, punching him in the shoulder.
"I wasn't ignoring you. Remember, I was having my 'me' month." He said.
"Oh yeah... Anyways, want to play hide-and-go-seek?" I asked.
"Hide-and-go-seek is for babies. Are you a baby?" He asked. I blushed.
"What? No." I said. He laughed.
"Ha,I was just pulling on your leg, Weirdo." He said.
"I'm not a weirdo! You're the weirdo!" I defended.
"At least I don't still suck my thumb!" He laughed. My face felt like it was on fire.
"Marshall! I told you not to bring that up, again!" I yelled.
"You know it's true!" He said, pinching my cheeks. I punched him.
"Let's just get to hide-and-go-seek." I said. He laughed it off, and shrugged.
"You first!" He said. I shrugged and closed my eyes and began my count.
"1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. 18. 19. 20! READY OR NOT. HERE I COME!" I yelled. I looked around and saw a stepped-on bush. I smirked, widely and climbed through the bush. I saw a path and followed it.
15 minutes had passed and the path had ended with a bush. I climbed through that bush and saw Marshall sitting on the edge of a cliff. I sneaked up on him pounced.
"Gotcha!" I yelled. He pulled my arm over his shoulder and threw me in a bush.
"Ha!" He laughed. What time is it? VAMPIRE FIGHTING TIME! I got up out of the bush and charged towards Marshall, swinging my sword. Then, he turned invisible. I looked around for him, and then I felt something pin me to the ground. And of course, it was the King of Vampires. Wow, I never noticed how extremely hot he is when he's this close to me...
"Gotcha!" He said, mockingly. I rolled, my eyes and laughed.
"Whatever. I would've totally beat you, if you hadn't cheated." I said, pushing him off me. He landed on his back and we watched the clouds.
