"Hello, students! Welcome to Excelsior Day and Boarding School!" The Dean announced into a microphone.

All of the students were piled into an auditorium for announcements, before we get out schedules and dorms.

"I'm happy to see some familiar faces, and even happier to see some new faces! One thing I would like to remind you is that our clothing rules are casual, but that still means appropriate. I wish you all the best of luck this year. Please head over to the gymnasium to get your schedules and dorms. Classes start tomorrow!" He shouts, while we all get up, pushing through to get to the gymnasium.

There's only about one hundred forty kids enrolled. I made sure to choose a small school.

Adelaide had begged to come with me, offering to help make my bed, sort my clothes, all of that moving in stuff. I refused. Now that she was officially Niall's girlfriend, I couldn't bring her here.

She had been in our public image, but that microscope got a whole lot bigger once they shifted out of the friend zone.

The group of students headed down a corridor, to I hope a gymnasium. I didn't really know, I just followed everyone else. Some kids around me were talking, saying how they hoped they got classes and their room together.

In the gymnasium there were several stations sat up. Tables were labeled with a sign alphabetically. One table was A-L and the other was M-Z.

I walked over to the M-Z line.

"I didn't even sign up for this elective!" Complains a boy in front of me.

I had a backpack on and a suitcase.

The boy finally realizes that the lady isn't going to change his schedule, so he leaves. Which means I'm next.

"Name?"

"Tegan Swallows-Malik."

The lady looks through a tote, and finally hands me a file.

"In this file is everything you need to know about the school here." She tells me, sweetly. "Orientation is this afternoon at three."

"Thank you!" I said, taking the file, and walking from the line.

I walk over to a corner of the gymnasium, pulling the suitcase behind me. Students were scattered around looking through their files.

I looked through my schedule:

Period 1: Chemistry

Period 2: English

Period 3: Geometry

Period 4: Lunch

Period 5: Free Block

Period 6: History

Period 7: Home Education
