Tegan's P.O.V
February 2017

~~~
"Hey, selfish bitch." Danielle seethes, hitting her shoulder against mine as she walks past me.
I sighed and entered my English class.
"Hey, Tegan!" Jillian greets me as I sit down in the seat next to her.
"Hi," I fake a smile.
"Harry tweeted this picture of Darcy and she's just the cutest thing!" Jillian gushes, pulling out her phone.
"I haven't seen it yet."
She shows me the picture of the infant curled up in a ball, only wearing a diaper and a large bow on her head.
"She's so bald." I chuckle.
"But have you seen her eyes?" Jillian asks, widening her own eyes.
"They're turning green." I said.
"She's going to be absolutely stunning!"
The bell for class rings, and the class quiets down. Our teacher gets up from her desk.
"Good morning class! Today, we're going to be starting a poetry unit." She announces, clapping her hands together.
Why does every single English teacher feel the need to go over a poetry unit, as if we haven't already?
"I assume you all know what poetry is, so today you're going to start off by writing your own poetry." She tells us. "I want it to be something meaningful, something that explains you. When I read it I want to understand every word you're saying."
The whole class groans, except for the few English geeks who pull out their notebooks, excitingly.
"And go!" My teacher sits back down at her desk.
I pull out my notebook from my backpack, and open to a blank page. I glance over at Jillian who is hurriedly writing across her page.
I sit the entire class period, trying to think of ideas to write about, but nothing comes to me.
After class, I head straight for the girl's bathroom. As I open the door, I hear the voices of many females laughing and talking. I push myself in there and realize it's Danielle and her clique. They're wrapped up in doing their makeup at the mirrors, so I try to sneak behind them.
"Oh, look," one laughs.
"Oh, hi Tegan." Danielle screeches.
I pause in my tracks and look up at her with a look that could kill.
"What is wrong with you?" I ask her.
"Wrong with me? You think there's something wrong with me?" She acts shocked, laughing. "Which one of us was in a loony bin again? Oh, yeah, you."
Her friends all laugh around her, but I just stand there, keeping my game face.
"It is a lovely day outside, so why don't you go out there, instead of caking your face in the mirror, and find something better to do?" I ask her.
"What possibly could be better than making fun of you, Tegan?" She asks, twirling her hair around her finger.
"You can wear all the makeup you want, Danielle, but it will never change your ugly personality." I tell her, emphasizing every word.
It catches me completely off guard when Danielle pounces on me, knocking me to the bathroom floor.
"You fucking bitch!" She screams, sitting on me.
"Get off of me!" I yell, pushing her off of me.
"You will get what you deserve, Tegan Malik!" She balls up her fists and socks it to my nose.
I hold my nose for a split second, but then I grab her hair using one hand, and punch her right back with my other.
"Girls, help me!" Danielle cries.
I take my chance and push her off of me. I stand up and try to escape, but someone stops me, grabbing my backpack.
"Not so fast, we're not done with you." A redhead taunts.
She keeps ahold of my backpack and drags me in front of the mirror.
"I really like what you've done with your hair, Tegan." She smirk. "But I think you could use some bangs."
Two of the other girls come over, gabbing my arms and holding them behind my back, so I can't attack this freaking Oompa Loompa in front of me.
She reaches into her backpack, and pulls out a pair of scissors. When she gets back in front of me I try kicking her, but she just laughs. I try getting the other two girls off of me, but I'm not strong enough.
"You're going to look so good!" She takes the scissors to my hair and I watch as my brown pieces fall right in front of my face.
All of her friends laugh.
Danielle is standing on her feet now, arms crossed, smirking.
"Oops, I messed up!" The girl gasps, innocently.
I glare at her and she bursts into a fit of laughter.
"This is not over yet, Tegan. It's only the beginning." Danielle threatens, grabbing my shirt.
The all laugh mechanically, then stalk out of the bathroom. I turn around and look at myself in the mirror.
I let out a whimper, seeing my staggered bangs, that look like I cut them myself.
I finally release the tears.
and then it all started to fall apart. again.
