Ladybug's POV

I got a call from Chat to meet him up on the roof he always sit on. The sky was black and dustered with a handful of stars, the breeze that was blowing that night was a calm one. I swung my legs on the edge.

"It's taking him longer than usual." I whispered to myself. A soft tap on my shoulder took me by surprise and I turned my head abruptly to the side. Only a pair of green eyes stared back at me.

"Chat?" I called out. He stepped forward, a sheepish grin on his lower face.

"Surprised you, didn't I, My Lady." He snorted. He took his place by my side. I slapped him a bit on his neck, complimenting it with a comment, "Don't do that again you idiot."

A laugh escaped his mouth but the mood changed when he fell silent and stared at me with those intense eyes.

"What?" I asked. My eyes searched his face and dropped to his chin. There was a bit of scratch on it. I placed a finger on it. "What's this?"

He blinked and answered. "I fell when I was walking. Stupid, huh?" It struck to me that it was exactly as Adrien's fall just this evening. "Coincidence?"

"Hurmm..?" Chat Noir quirked. I shook my head. It must be just a coincidence. "By the way, what is it that you want to ask me. You sounded like you've just seen a ghost when you called?"

Chat Noir's POV

I looked everywhere but her face. Should I or should I not? I should. This is a matter of life and death. A matter of our safety and the people's.

"I...uh... The other day, when we encountered Moneypulator, he said about someone knowing our identity." I began.

"Yeah... I thought about it too."

"Yeah, um, so, I checked my mail just now and I got a red one."

"Someone's threatening you?"

I nodded solemnly. "It said that we should be careful of who we befriend with."

She tapped her chin. "Hm... You got a point. I have that creepy feeling that we're going to meet someone new in our squad."

I hung my head. My mind was meeting a dead end in figuring a way to find the culprit now. Ladybug placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't worry, Chat. As long as I live, I'll defend our identities. And I'll give you the support you need, no matter what."

A relived smile spread across my lips. I took her hand in mine. "Thanks, Ladybug. I promise that I'll do whatever it takes to keep it."

A few minutes passed as we stared each other. Suddenly, Ladybug cleared her throat. "Ummm...when will you let go of my hand?"

Oops. I let her hand go and blushed a little. A small smack landed on my shoulder. "Taking advantage of the situation!" Accused Ladybug.

"Hehhehe...." I grinned. "But, Ladybug, what if it were to happen that you and I will know each other's?"

She casted her gaze downwards. "I guess we'll just have to see."

*the next day*

Adrien's POV

I hurried to Master Fu's house, my mind reeling on the matter in hand.
I jumped over lodges and avoided curbs - I am not going to trip stupidly again - and came to a halt in front of the small door leading to the inside of the cottage. I placed a hand on the door knob but stopped myself from turning it when I heard voices coming from inside.

"What should I do, Master Fu? Chat Noir and I are in a serious danger."

Oh, shit. It's Ladybug. I shouldn't interrupt. I walked to a nearby bench and sat there to wait for Ladybug to finish her meet up with Master Fu so that I could talk to him later.

Well. There's that. I'm saving something up for you guys and I hope that you still like this storyline. Thanks for all the support and advice.
